As you continue life as normally as you can in a stranger's house, you meet the other residents of Elmwood Springs: Norma's aunt (no one knows how old she is), Elner, her husband, Will, Norma's mother, Ida, the bad-luck-woman, Tot Whooten and her cuckoo mother, Dorothy Smith of the radio show, Standing in the Rainbow, her husband, Doc, their son, Bobby, his wife Mary, and Bobby's friend, Monroe.
