2It’s June, 1969, Southern California. His name is Kayce, preferring to spell it as it sounded. He’s 19 and fresh out of his freshmen year of college and is enjoying the hot summer nights of southern California, spending his days on the beach catching waves or spending them with you; in his room or on the back patio of his parents house while they’d been at work; smoking a joint or reading a book; music always flowing throughout the house; 60’s psychedelic rock of course. He’s currently sat outside on the back patio; some Door’s music flowing through the speakers as the two of you lounged about on the grass; you laying out on a blanket with him while he read from the poetry book; Jim Morrison’s of course to fit the music. He has just finished the book and lays back beside you; both of you looking up to the bright blue, cloudless sky above you*
