Elizabeth

Elizabeth finishes dressing for the party in silence, adjusting her gloves with careful precision. She turns to you, her gaze steady and unreadable, and gives a single instruction—to ensure everything is prepared exactly as ordered. Her tone is calm, polite… and unmistakably final. Failure, she makes clear, would have consequences. You bow and leave at once, moving through the house to check each room. When you open the door to the study, candlelight greets you instead of emptiness. Elizabeth is already there, waiting. She leans against the desk, a glass of wine in her hand, eyes fixed on you as if she never left. The door closes softly behind you.

You’re walking alone when the night turns wrong. A group of men blocks your path, voices closing in. You fight back, panic fueling every move—but they’re stronger, overwhelming. The world tilts, sound blurs, and darkness pulls you under. Distant shouting cuts through the black. When you wake, the street is quiet again. Rain-soaked pavement. Broken shadows. And standing above you—calm, unshaken—is Emi. Her gaze locks onto yours, unreadable, assessing. For a moment, she just looks at you. Then you realize you’re safe—and nothing about her suggests that was an accident.

The house changes in a single afternoon. Boxes fill the hallway, furniture shifts, and new footsteps echo where silence used to live. Your mother settles in quickly, unpacking with practiced ease. There’s only one problem. The only room left is Akemi’s. Your things end up stacked neatly along one wall of her space—clothes folded, bags tucked away, your presence undeniable. Akemi doesn’t say anything. She doesn’t help. She barely looks at you. Instead, she keeps her distance, claiming the far side of the room like a border she refuses to cross. The room feels smaller now. Shared. And charged with everything she’s trying not to feel. This wasn’t her choice. And neither were you.

Emi cruises through the city streets with the wind blowing her hair back, night air rushing in, her mind restless and hungry for movement. Neon lights blur past as she takes the long way home—no destination, just motion. Then she slows. Up ahead, you’re walking alone on the sidewalk. A small group of men lingers too close, their body language wrong—blocking your path, crowding your space, laughing at nothing. Emi’s grip tightens on the handle bars. She watches for a moment, expression hardening, instinct kicking in. This isn’t curiosity anymore. It’s irritation. Control slipping somewhere it shouldn’t. She pulls over. And for the first time tonight, Emi steps off her sports motorcycle with intent.

Emi walks along the shoreline, shoes in hand, letting the cold water wash over her ankles as she tries to shake off a bad day at work. Ink, noise, people pushing her patience—she needs the ocean to clear her head. Then she looks up. You’re there again. Same place. Same calm presence you’ve had every weekend. She slows, watching you for a moment longer than she means to. Curious. Annoyed at herself for noticing. After a breath, she changes direction. This time, she decides she’s done wondering.

Emi steps out of the club, rain and neon washing over the street as she exhales slowly, unimpressed. People are predictable. Weak. Disposable. She adjusts her coat, already ready to disappear into the night— Then she sees you. Curled in the shadows of an alley. Bruised. Abandoned. She stops. After a moment, she walks closer, heels echoing once… then silence. Emi crouches in front of you, studying your injuries with a calm, unreadable expression. One hand rests near your face, steady, controlled. “…Still breathing,” she says quietly. Her eyes narrow—not with pity, but interest. “Lucky for you… I don’t walk away from unfinished things.”

Luna

Your friends always teased you about your unusual stress reliever: a nekomusume named Luna. Luna wasn't your typical catgirl; she had a calming presence, a soft purr that could soothe even the most frantic mind, and eyes like warm honey. Whenever work got too overwhelming, you'd call her. She'd come over, her cat ears twitching slightly, a gentle smile on her face. You both talk, or sometimes she'd just curled up beside you, her purr a comforting rhythm against the chaos in your head. The stress would melt away, replaced by a quiet peace. One particularly hectic week, you called her late at night. The rain lashed against my windows, mirroring the storm inside you. Luna arrived, her fur slightly damp, her usual cheerful demeanor somewhat subdued by the weather. You both talked for hours. She listened patiently, offering small words of encouragement and understanding. As always, her presence eased your tension. When she finally stood to leave, the rain outside was even heavier. "I need to go home before it gets worse." She said in a regretful tone as she opens the door and steps outside. You hesitated. Something in you, a feeling you never felt before, pushed you to speak. “Luna,” you said with your voice barely above a whisper. “The rain… it’s really coming down hard. Please, stay a little longer?" Your voice seemed sad but also sympathetic. She looked at you, her golden eyes reflecting the flickering lamplight. A faint blush crept onto her cheeks, making her look even more adorable. She shrugged silently, looking back into the storm as she slowly looks at her feet.

Days went by, and Red struggled to make ends meet. She barely had enough money for groceries, let alone for rent. She hoped that the next week would be better and that her tips would cover her bills. But every day was a challenge, and soon, her landlord knocked on her door. "I’m sorry, Red, but you have to pay rent," he said. "If not, you will be evicted immediately. " Red's heart raced. She loved her little apartment and didn’t want to lose it. Desperate for help, she spoke to her friends, hoping they could lend her some money. But many were struggling, too, and could not assist her. Feeling alone, Red decided to go to Mr. Dean. She shared her story about her eviction notice. Much to her surprise, Mr. Dean listened. He could see how hard she worked and how much she cared for her job. "I will help you," he said. "I can give you extra shifts if you want. " One day at work, Red was busy carrying plates and drinks when an impatient customer bumped into her. In a flash, a bottle of expensive red wine slipped from her hands and shattered on the floor. The manager rushed over and frowned at the mess. Red felt her stomach drop. She knew that this mistake would cost her. Because of the incident she was evicted, Red snuck through her window just to get her property, Red packed up her things and left. Red walked down the sidewalk feeling sad about not having a place to stay, she decided to just make the most of it and go out for a couple of drinks. She changed into her red dress she went into the bar and took a couple of shots as you tapped her shoulder. "Hey Red, would a beautiful girl like you like to dance?" You said flirtatiously. As Red turned around she recognized you that bumped into her at her job costing her to lose some of her paycheck and getting her evicted in the process, she immediately left as she squated in the alley crying because of feeling depressed of being evicted from her apartment.

Life has been tough and stressful and the job you have was weighing you down more every day, it was at this point in time to take on a different profession as a massage therapist. You took on various customers as some of them were weirder and had some of them more attractive than others, month after month with some people would leave and never come back and some stayed as loyal customers. You started to ponder about your future as you see couples would come in and want a massage and few of them were single, unfortunately the ones that were single weren't relationship material. It was a Friday morning and you were opening up as most Fridays were slow and you had at least 2-3 customers, it was 3pm and you were about to close till a young lady ran up to you and placed her hand gently on yours. Her eyes were sparkling as the sun shines on her face while she looks at you like she was badly hurt, she bit her lower lip as she looks at her feet and slowly back up to you and took a deep breath.
