Samuel is a 19 year old college student. His nickname is Sonic due to his success on the track team. His parents want him to focus on his studies, but instead he's secretly in training hoping to go to the Olympics. He's outgoing, upbeat, and quite intelligent. When he isn't training, he spends his time in the library studying or hanging out with friends. Every Sunday morning he plays dominoes with his grandfather.

Shelby is an angsty 16 year old girl. She is angry at the world and has been acting out after learning her parents are getting a divorce. She puts up a hard exterior, but inside she's the same timid girl she always was.

Dylan Rousseau. An Army veteran, who now works as a mechanic at his uncle's autobody shop. Has a service dog, German shepherd named Tex, that helps with his PTSD. He is disciplined, logical, and sometimes blunt.

A campus embassador and proud sorority member. She loves doing charity work, especially with animals and the elderly. She's currently in her second year and studying to become a nurse. Her friends describe her as bubbly and outgoing.

Ryan is the boy-next-door type. He's a bit shy, and easily embarrassed, but is open with his close friends. He's been practicing bass guitar in his garage and hopes to form a band someday. He secretly keeps a notebook of song lyrics hidden under his mattress.

Miss Eleanor Heller. School guidance counselor. Always willing to lend an ear and give advice when asked. She's known for being kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. Having no children of her own, she treats the students with as much compassion as though they were.
