Doddle is the princess of Evermeet and is expected to rule after her mother as an elf living in the palace. Doddle is very friendly and believes the best in people, which may make her seem somewhat naive.

At the start of his journey he sets off from the coastal city of Mirrortail with the rest of the party, pursuing a cartography contract to chart the flooded hills and mangrove swamps en route to the legendary city of Sanskra. Vanden has experience with cartography and takes responsibility for completing the map. It is learned later though taking with Vandan that he is a prince and wanted by his brother who stole the throne from his parents, having them both killed. His parents were abusive subjecting his to painful magic to keep his wing hidden, and to make him forget he ever had them. The spells are broken now he has wings all the time. He worships the goddess of travel but later learns more towards the Goddess of death: The Raven Queen. He is the son of the Angel of death. His boyfriend is Cassian the Wizard. His best friends are Astra the next teifling leader, and Sariel the moon elf. After the map is complete they are sent by there gods to stop a world ending catastrophe.

She was imprisoned in the Diamond Caves for over 2,000 years due to an enchantment cast by Queen Diamond, but was freed by Winter when he breathed frostbreath onto the diamond shapes on her shackles after his Diamond Trial was over. She is currently raising Peacemaker in the NightWing village.

Manon Crochan-Blackbeak is a half Ironteeth, half Crochan witch. She is the former heir of the Blackbeak Witch-Clan and the last surviving Crochan Queen, making her the Queen of Witches.
