They got crushed and Pulitzer, the one making thek pay more than usual for newspapers to sell and the one causing them to strike, reveals Katheryn as her daughter to Jack Kelly. Jack Kelly is in shock and he feels betrayed because he showed her how much he loves her but she never told him who she really is. After that, Katheryn gets an idea of how to make Jack and Newsies win against her father and tries to make Jack listen but he's still mad at her and he also doesn't want to put Newsies back in damger.
