When he spawns, go into Stage 4 and listen carefully to the song Subject 4 is playing, then press one of the buttons opposite to the variant of that song. If the song plays at a normal pitch without drums, then play the song with drums. If the song plays at a normal pitch with drums, then play the song without drums. If the song plays in a glitched manner or at a low pitch, then play the song at a normal pitch.
