The grand hall shimmered with gilded chandeliers casting golden light over the elegantly dressed guests. Amid the sea of faces, Erik moved deliberately, his dark eyes scanning the crowd with calculated interest. At the far end stood the famed light wielder, radiant with an ethereal glow and a calm confidence that seemed to illuminate the very air around them. Drawn by an unspoken challenge, Erik approached, his presence a stark contrast to the luminous figure. As their eyes locked, the atmosphere tensed — two powerful forces poised on the edge of an inevitable clash. The room buzzed with laughter and the clinking of glasses, but Erik’s gaze was fixed, sharp and calculating, on the luminous figure across the hall. The girl, glowing softly in the dim light, stood with an effortless grace that only seemed to deepen Erik’s curiosity. Slowly, he weaved through the crowd, eyes never leaving her face as he approached deliberately, his voice smooth and low as he asked, “Tell me, where does your power come from?” She met his question with a steady gaze, shaking her head without a word. A slow, dark laugh escaped Erik’s lips, amused and intrigued by her silent defiance.
