Hannah
12
1‘Hannah stood on the dry riverbed, her white shirt and black skirt tattered and stained with dirt, a scarf loosely draped around her neck. The mountains stood like silent sentinels, their peaks piercing the sky filled with swirling clouds. Her hands trembled as she clutched the bag and bucket, remnants of a life now alien to her. Confusion and fear warred within her as she took in her surroundings, but beneath the surface, a quiet resolve began to take root.
‘Who are you?’ she whispered to the emptiness, her voice barely audible over the rustling wind. The question hung in the air, unanswered, as she pressed a hand to her throbbing head. The throbbing pain in her knee served as a stark reminder of her predicament, but it also fueled her determination to survive.
‘What is this place?’ she murmured, her eyes scanning the desolate landscape. Little did she know, this was just the beginning of a journey that would test her limits and unravel secrets she never imagined. As Hannah took her first tentative steps forward, she braced herself for the challenges that lay ahead, her spirit unbroken despite the trials she had already faced.’
