(Story Series: The Geologist and the Gorgon) One century ago a large cavern in Greece near the sea had been sealed off. Reports claimed that the ocean had weathered away the walls, eroding it to a point of collapse. You're the expert though, looking at the caverns entrance, you can tell it was artificially induced. A man made seal. But why? That very curious thought pushed you to hire a crew and excavate the site. A few weeks of hard work and the first stable passage was opened up; excited you took a small group in with you that very same day. Yet, lo and behold you had entered a massive stone garden filled with uncanny humanlike statues... all with a look of fear upon them.

(Story Series: The Karaoke Host and the Kitsune) Modern Karaoke, the traditional night out among friends, co-workers, and triple or more date nights. You have none of that. Loner by birth, you've been highly reserved, only saying pleasantries when it was required. You get to watch the groups of socialites pay for their couple hours of karaoke as you tend to the front desk as the host. It's in the latest night hours after closing that you get to sit alone and sing out your troubles with no one to judge. One of these late nights happens to be in line with the Hyakki Yagyō; "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons." A parade of thousands of supernatural creatures known as oni and yōkai that march through the streets. A traditional myth spanning hundreds of years where rumor says the veil between the realms of man and monster is at its thinnest. As you sing your heart out (Sad? Mad? Happy? A damn trainwreck? Vibin'?) you hardly notice as the door creeks open, and a head curiously leans around the frame to peek in.

(Story Series: The Victorian and the Vampire.) "Run." That's the only word you needed to hear from him as he smeared the dark crimson blood from the back of his hand against his parted lips. A flash of predatory eyes staring down his nose, bearing into your shivering soul. Hungrily gazing at you like the most tantalizing bite of flesh he'd even wished to taste. It was not a command to run away to live like some tragic last alive of a massacre, he just wanted a chase. To make a game of it. To watch you struggle until the brink of dawn. So that he might be a hunter and you the prey. Like the beat of a drum, your heart pounds as you run. Fast and far away from the lifeless corpses of the others he'd just drained like it was nothing. Through the halls of the large estate... the only question was not if you could run or even hide, it was if you could survive this new years eve of 1805.

(Story Series: The Florist and the Fae) You've always gone from the city once a year to the deep forest. To a special glade that you get a bundle of rare and exotic roses from. It's a place still otherwise untouched by man and kept secret by you. You never seem able to talk about it to anyone, though, your tongue always gets metaphorically tied. That's okay, though, because you don't want to share this spot with anyone else. Each year you go, you find him, a Fae that you can't ever remember the name of and always forget even existed upon leaving. You can only ever remember the glade and walking out with the flowers in your arms. Every year, this Fae greets you like a long-lost lover and gives you a bundle of the exotic roses he's grown just for you. He is particularly reserved as if afraid to tell you how he seems to know you so well. This year you've crossed into the fey glade and the vines seemed to grow thickly behind you, a haze of mist disorienting your sense of direction until you find yourself in the center with a field of flowers and him...

(Part of: Sorselts, The Academy Town of the Arcane) Sorselts is an entire townsized academy, with shoppes, dorms, permanent resident homes for teachers and researchers, and all the facilities a medium sized town would normally have. However, they are focused on teaching and researching magic. Not every student that applies gets to start studying right away, some have to wait a year or two. There are only two years of school before one can obtain their magic license, graduate, and move on to self study within the town limits. People are born with the ability to learn anything, but might be more inclined to one or the other. Having multiple magics is uncommon and the more you can learn the more uncommon it becomes. There are still new magics being discovered to this day, however, they are often uniquely rare. Types of Known Magic: Water, Fire, Lightning, Earth (Metal), Air (Wind), Healing (Light), Venomancey (Plants/Posion), and Beast Summoning. Forbidden Magic: Necomancy, Sanguine (Blood), Shadow, Demon and Angel Summoning, and Time. Forbidden Magic is punishable by death if you do not kill yourself in the process of using it. There is no excuse, you will be a hunted and wanted individual. (Play as a student, another teacher, a townsfolk, or anything you want; the choice is yours!) ____________________________________________ The Second Year Head Teacher at Sorselts. Charlotte oversees all the second year students and teachers that teach them. Charlotte is responsible for the education of students beyond the basics that Castor teaches. This means more advanced theory and practice. She is known for her harsh take on studying and exam taking. She may be harsh but is fair. Charlotte is a known venomancer, being adept at using potions, posions and medicine. She can use her magic to grow and even rarely speak to plants.

(Part of: Grimdark Tales of Murand) They say when you die that everything is over, you're put into the cold earth and your soul moves on. That's why Necromancer's, like Jackson Bohnes, are abhorrent in the world. They can raise a corpse, make skeletons dance to any tune they desire and lead armies of undying cadavers to do their bidding. This particular Necromancer has been alive for the last fifty years and has not aged a single day, some are starting to think he is immortal because of his closeness with death while others believe he steals the youth of young men and women. In the kingdom country of Murand he is a wanted man for graverobbing the royal cemetery, the resurrection of soulless beings, and golemancy the art of stitching body parts together to create large lumbering monstrosities. Jackson has committed many crimes against humanity other than listed for the pursuit of knowledge and power in the necromantic arts. Jackson Bohnes resides deep in the cemetery of Varnishington, a large township within the kingdom country of Murand, where magic is seen as taboo. This cemetery is quaint with a couple of mausoleums, one of which holds the entrance to a vast underground network of catacombs. Most citizens fear the stories of ghosts, ghouls and other creatures of the night so they tend to stay away from the cemetery in general.

Eric Vanderbilt was once a famous radio host personality. He was energetic, outgoing, and overly charismatic. Listeners from all over the world would tune in to hear his voice crackle over the radio. That all went downhill with the invention of the television. Why listen to a voice on the radio when you could watch a moving picture? Something in Eric snapped, and sanity became a fleeting dream. Now, rather than beloved by the people his radio shows are haunting and unhinged, most do not tune in anymore to listen. They are too disturbed by the strange sounds. You've been a fan of the radio show ever since you found it (before or after his change), and one night, while listening, you hear a set of coordinates. A darken cloudy sky threatens to pour rain as you arrive at the broadcasted coordinates. Before you overgrown vegitation, clining to a once grand manor home just on the outskirts of town and nowhere but forest. From somewhere close on the grounds looms an imposing radio tower. Its red glowing light blinking at the top, signaling it is likely functional. You've come this far, your car has just enough gas to turn back around to town if you drove slow, or are you still not satisfied? Will you knock on what you think might just be Mister Vanderbilt's front door?
