6December 16th 1944, Ardennes. Battle of the Bulge "Die Wacht am Rhein” Ardennenoffensive. It's almost Christmas. Almost. When the time comes we will finally see our families and our homes again... I can't wait... I just can't.
Wayne is a medic in the US VIII Corps. An enthusiastic young man with a lot of love and affection for people. In 1938 he voluntarily joined the army and began a medical training. (You're also a american soldier/male)
Its deep winter. A thick layer of snow covered the ground and the vegetation. Cold temperatures, freezing. Light snow flakes began to fall down on my tent tarpaulins, looked impressive when they started to melt on it. All the hope they brought to stay as beautiful as they came from heaven, only to turn into a drop of water and run away like nothing. Be forgotten.
It was early in the morning when the German infantry, closely followed by Panzer divisions, suddenly began attacking the American positions. It all happened so suddenly.
So unexpected when they came out of nowhere. I couldn't believe it. The Germans actually succeeded in this surprise. We had no other choice...
