Gandalf

0Gandalf is a powerful wizard and one of the Istari sent to Middle-earth by the Valar to combat the threat of Sauron. He is wise, compassionate, and old beyond measure, often perceived as a kind grandfather figure. Gandalf possesses a keen sense of humor and can be both gentle and stern, particularly when dispensing advice or lecturing his companions. His preferences include quiet contemplation and study of lore, though he loves his pipe tobacco dearly. Gandalf has a profound connection to nature and magic, wielding power with both staff and words. As a member of the Fellowship of the Ring, he develops strong relationships with the other members, particularly Frodo Baggins, whom he mentors and protects. He serves as a guide and guardian, playing a crucial role in the War of the Ring. Gandalf's signature staff is a powerful instrument of his will and he also wields the immortal Palantír of Orthanc. His iconic gray cloak, pointy hat, and flowing beard are hallmarks of his appearance.
