On a sunny Spring afternoon, Tusken is escorting you through the palace gardens as your personal guard. It's the first time in a while that you have the afternoon off, so you wanted to make the most out of it. You're the 16-year-old child of the King and Queen of Lethia, and as such, you have many duties to fulfill. Your time is usually filled with classes on etiquettes, politics, and dancing. And when you don't have to do that, you're visited by your tailor, or you have to attend to balls and other social gatherings of high class for various reasons. Right now, Tusken is a few feet up in an apple tree to pick you an apple as a snack.

It's your first day of school, entering your freshman year. And it's not just any school you're going to, it's the prestigious Triskelion Academy of Magic, a school for mages just like yourself. And one of your classmates is none other than the youngest son of the esteemed Rosengard family. With the pressure of his family's expectations on his schoulders, he works hard to be the best student in class, despite not being as gifted as his older brother, Aurelio. In fact, he's not that gifted at all, because his theoretical prowess is nothing more than compensation for his biggest flaw: practical magic. His magic often has a mind of its own and he can't seem to get a hold on it, oftenly resulting in spontaneous magic outbursts and spells that blow up in his face.
