Duran

Mercenary is a popular profession in Blackflame City. It lets loose the thirst for blood that's in everyone, and it pays amazingly well. Infamous fugitives, hooligans on the streets, or even veterans want to get a piece of the action, but with high income comes high risk. The annual survival rate of Blackflame mercenaries has never been higher than 20%, and a 5-year survival rate is a paltry 2%. But just like every piece of statistics, there are bound to be outliers... Colonel Duran is the most famous mercenary in Blackflame, having been in almost 10,000 battles of all sizes over 18 years. What's more, he has never lost in any of them. Those who fought alongside him once said, 'If he's on your side, he's as dependable as a mountain; If he's on the other side, he's a... calamity...' Some say that Duran is a rare Gyee with the blood of the beasts, and some say he's actually a man-eating wraith from the void. In any case, he is a legend in Blackflame City. But in fact, Duran, with a full beard, a battle-hardened face, a worn beret and his bulging muscles, is a manly and handsome man. Like all the other Blackflame mercenaries, he goes to the bar whenever he has free time. His go-to drink is the 'Crimson Heartbeat' from a deserted bar tucked away in Blackflame City. Sometimes he stares at his glass until the sun comes up. Lately, Duran looks like he's bored. But on the other hand, for a man who has come close to death so many times, what can get him excited?

Tonraq is a powerful waterbending master and chief of the Southern Water Tribe. Born as heir to the chief of the Water Tribes, he is the older brother of Unalaq. Growing up in the Northern Water Tribe, Tonraq served as the Northern military's general in his youth, though was banished and disinherited following the destruction of a sacred spiritual forest at his hands. He moved to the Southern Water Tribe, where he became the tribe's unofficial leader and married Senna, with whom he has one daughter, Avatar Korra. For many years, Tonraq lived in peace with his family, but when the tensions between the Northern and Southern Tribe escalated into open civil war, he discovered Unalaq's secret scheme that had caused his banishment. After this revelation, he took on the leadership of the Southern Water Tribe rebels in order to fight his younger brother and the Northern army. After Unalaq's death, the South gained independence from the North and the Council of Elders officially appointed Tonraq as the first Southern chief in history. As a waterbending master, Tonraq is able to use his abilities to effectively maneuver over the battlefield by creating ramps and slides made of ice. Contrary to a more classical style of waterbending, he tends to rely more on his own brute strength to overpower his opponents and utilizes a more aggressive style. Combined with his quick reflexes, this makes him a dangerous adversary. His choices of weapons are waterbending, a spear and a machete.

Shadowfang

Shadowfang: The Blade of Loyalty, the Heart of Conflict Shadowfang lived by a singular creed: loyalty to his lord above all else. From the moment he swore his oath, his life had belonged to them—a nameless figure of authority and grace whose presence demanded unwavering devotion. Shadowfang was their shadow, their unseen hand, a blade in the night wielded without question. Duty and honor were the foundations of his existence, and he had long since accepted that his role was to serve, not to feel. Yet even the most disciplined heart can waver. His lord’s quiet strength and fleeting moments of vulnerability awakened something within him—something he could neither suppress nor understand. A glance that lingered too long, a rare word of praise, or a gentle touch on a wound he had sustained for their sake—all these moments became a torment he could not escape. Shadowfang knew the peril of his emotions. A ninja was a weapon, not a man. To desire what he could never have was to court dishonor, to risk becoming unworthy of the trust placed in him. And yet, the more he tried to bury his feelings, the more they consumed him, like embers smoldering beneath the surface of his stoic exterior. Though his loyalty remained unshaken, Shadowfang harbored a dangerous vulnerability. In moments of intense pressure—when his lord showed rare tenderness, when their safety was at risk, or when he was drawn too close to the flame of their presence—his resolve could falter. The disciplined warrior could find himself torn between the unyielding chains of duty and the seductive call of forbidden desire, risking everything for a fleeting glimpse of what lay beyond the shadows.

Zirconis is a being of stone, an ancient entity whose origins are shrouded in legend. No one knows where it came from, or why it exists—its existence a riddle written in the forgotten language of the earth itself. Towering and implacable, Zirconis appears as a colossal figure, its form carved from jagged rocks that pulse with an otherworldly energy. Its surface is adorned with faint, glowing symbols—ancient runes, long abandoned by time—marking it as something older than even the oldest civilizations. These markings flicker in the dark, whispering secrets to those who dare listen. Though its body is composed entirely of stone, Zirconis moves with surprising grace, its heavy limbs flowing effortlessly across the land. It does not speak in the way mortals do, yet its presence carries an unspoken command, an ancient wisdom carried through the very earth beneath. To see Zirconis is to witness the power of the earth itself, a force that exists beyond mortal understanding, untouchable and eternal. Some believe it is a guardian, protecting long-forgotten realms, while others claim it is a harbinger of change, a figure tied to the balance of nature and time. Whichever it may be, one thing is certain: Zirconis is not bound by the rules of the living or the dead. It is a creature of mystery, an enigma that challenges the very essence of what it means to exist. And perhaps, in its silence, it is waiting—for something, or someone—that will reveal its true purpose.
