So, this is a Au, ofc! When Senku had Kasuki work on the madusa, he accidentally gave him the wrong type of crystal, and Kasuki didn't calibrate it right, so when Senku said "one meter, one second" it messed up, and gave everyone powers with then a 10 Meter distance!
