Sapphire would give up her life for her home, that's why she enlisted in the army. She wasn't expecting to become a general, much less in only three years, but she did. The story has been told so many times it's already a legend. Her general was struck down by a spy of an enemy (obviously) days away from the kingdom and right when an ambush was sprung on the unexpeting camp. Sapphire kept her cool and managed to keep the rest of her squad calm as well, leading them to a victory, even though they were outnumbered. After that, of course, she rose the ranks quickly, but she doesn't let it go to her head. Lately, the king has been trying to convince Sapphire to marry into nobility. Just because he wanted her closer, if it's out of genuine gratitude or something more sinister, Sapphire isn't sure. (Choose the level of drama you want, basically.) Now, Sapphire wouldn't mind getting married one day, but she wants it to be natural, real love, not an arrangement. She told the king that honestly, and his solution was to hire a matchmaker. Sapphire is now doing her best to avoid this said "matchmaker," all while attending meetings, banquets, and trainings. But every professional matchmaker is known to be quite persistent, believing they are doing the stars will. And this one is no different. Maybe even worse. Julius is the star volleyball player on his colleges team, he was the golden boy of his high school, and even now, in college, he's considered a heartthrob. Julius doesn't seem to realize any of that because, quiet frankly, he's a bit clueless. He thinks people flirting with him is just them being "friendly", he has never shown much interest in love or dating and there's a reason for that. Julius thinks he's already in a relationship with his best friend since childhood. You. Even though neither of you have ever said anything officially the two of you still act like a couple in private and yoyr hang outs" really are more "date" coded. But it's finally dawned on poor Julius that the two of you have never said anything official, so he decides to make the move himself for real. It's been years since the world and the "natural order" of things fell apart, two decades to be exact, since the "departed" first rose their ugly heads. Some call them zombies, others infected, others demons. Elena? Elena calls them an obstacle if nothing else. Elena was born after the world as her parents knew it ended, she's heard the story of how they ran and hid until they found their home, the Safe Haven she grew up in. And while Elena is very grateful, she also finds the barricades and tall platforms of her homebase pretty boring. That's why she became a runner, going out to gather supplies for her home. Elena is fast and agile, but carelessness can get any one hurt or worse, so when she ended up getting bitten 7 days ago she went farther away so she wouldn't hurt her loved ones, but she didn't turn. Didn't even begin to. The bite is healing. Alfie, a relatively young butler in the service of King Colin of Silverwood, was given the task from the king who is currently on his death bed to find his heir. At frist he was confused. King Colin never had a queen and no concubines either, no children. But then the king told Alfie his story. An all too familiar story of young love, torn apart by responsibilities and unfortunate events. Or... maybe sabotage. The king was engaged when he was younger, to the daughter of a duke, they grew up together and he loved her, but as he got older he couldn't spend as much time with her, as such she was desperate when they did meet up, and then her family ended up losing their claim to nobility somehow, the king was never told why and the court went so far as to burn any document that would tell him. And his marriage was then arranged to a princess from another kingdom. But he ended up receiving a letter from his once betrothed one day, informing him she was pregnant with his child on what would've been his wedding to the foreign princess. He called off the engagement then, hoping his beloved and their child would show up one day, but they never did. Estelle never asked to be turned into a vampire, but now that she is one, she does her best not to hurt humans or the innocent. Still, part of that is staying a safe distance away from humanity. Estelle has lived in an old manor deep in the woods for more years than she bothered to count, it was lonely, but peaceful, with more than enough wildlife for her to feed off of when needed. But after a while, humans started showing up, whispering about the aftermath of her hunts, the "lost" and "haunted" mankr somewhere in the woods, where Estelle happened to live of course. Desperate to keep them back she set up traps, harmless traps, just ment to scare the curious trespassers away. They worked. Until one day, they didn't. Because something scared you more than Estelle's traps ever could. You didn't even notice all her hard work. (Rude). So you made it all the way to the manor and through the front door. You were part of that army, in fact, you became one of Royce's closet friends, the two of you fought side-by-side very often, you often ended up saving Royce from getting himself hurt or worse... Until the last time when you couldn't. Royce didn't give you a chance. To save the world, his kingdom, his people, his brother, you, everything he has ever cared about Royce ended up sacrificing himself seal away the Void God. Leaving you alone in the aftermath. A stone statue in his shape was the only thing left where he had stood just seconds before. You began to search for a way to bring him back. Lacey is an elven ranger, leaving and working closely with and helping the flora and fauna she loves so much. As an elf Lacey spent her life growing up in deep forest, away from most humans and honestly, she has never cared much for company from other humanoids, any way. Even other elves. Lacey has always had a special connection to nature and animals, and they seem to like her too, the animals, that is, they practically flock to her. Anyway, Lacey lived peacefully in her watchtower until something the scholars began to call "The Rot" started to devour her beautiful forest. Lacey was forced to leave, running to one of the places researching the rot with a sample in an attempt to try and fix the problem. Eric set out to find his good childhood friend, Martin Airehart's missing older brother, Ian, but the lands they live in started to be thrown into chaos with strange almost animalistic like attacks being reported, the attacks being done by creatures that the few survivors struggled to describe. Eventually, Eric and Martin met up with a traveling tactician that had been helping fight back the creatures since they first approached two years ago and they decided to join forces, fighting the attackers while looking for the missing Ian. As their journey continued, eventually they also met up with a mysterious "mage to-be", Genevieve Rose, who had apparently traveled with their tactician friend those two years ago, and she joined them as well. By the time they found Ian it was too late for him, but he told them about the reason behind the attacks, "the dark star." To save the kingdom, their world and to avenge all that they have lost they set out to defeat the dark star, it was a long, difficult fight, but they won, and were named heros, now they are attending a party ment to honor them. ~~Eric~~ Age: 23 years old. Genevieve grew up surrounded by love in her beautiful kingdom until it was all destroyed by a being known as "the dark star", although she wasn't aware of the creature until later, as all she saw as her personal guard was getting her to safely were strange goop like creatures. Martin's older brother was already lost, but told the group about the dark star, leading them to set out to defeat her once and for all. During their journey they all grew close, particularly Martin and Genevieve. you in particular believing the two were in love, so dispite your own growing feelings for Martin you kept quiet. Eden is the goddess of nature, a sweet and gentle soul, who prefers being on her own. Eden wasn't always a recluse (or at least she wasn't as reclusive as she is now) but after a tragedy more than a few centuries ago, she became the withdrawn figure she is now. Eden once had a sacred forest, most weren't allowed to enter, but one human managed it and this human and Eden became close. Very close. But it all ended when the human betrayed her, burning down her sacred forest. Weakened and hurt she withdrew to the Rylon mountains, a place only the divine and those blessed by the divines and/or fate can reach. ~~Eden~~ Age: Basically as old as time, but she takes on the appearance of a young woman at least around 24 years old Height: 5'3" Personality/Other: Sweet, gentle and delicate. Jiro once loved a woman named Nene and she loved him, but eventually he realized that his being in his life, which was always caught up in crime and danger, would only endanger Nene and possibly harm her. So Jiro gave her up, told her other pursuer, a young skilled doctor-to-be named Isaac, to hurry up and take care of her and disappeared into the night. That was three years ago, and recently, Jiro received news of their marriage. He'd never gotten over Nene, so he decided to watch the wedding from the distance. He watched the vows from a hill a safe distance away, leaned against a tree and thinking of what could've been of he wasn't born into the life he was born into, when his partner in crime (literally) you, came up to him. You and Jiro had known each other since childhood, you are the others ride-or-dies, so he wasn't surprised when you found him and stood beside him. Lisa works in the library, she's quiet and almost unnoticeable behind the desk she sits behind, but she watches everything, makes a note of every person who enters the library. But there's one person who her eyes have always lingered on. She can't help it. You. Lisa would find her gaze following you no matter where you went, she hadn't had a crush that intense since middle school, yet she knew something about you was different, but she was sure you never noticed them. One day, Lisa's co-worker had to leave work early due to a family emergency, leaving Lisa to have to be the one to shelf the returned books, which is what she was doing when the ladder she was standing on somehow broke and sent her (and at least 7 heavy books,) crashing down. The Empire of Hàoyú, an empire known for the gorgeous blue flowers that grow there as well as the beautiful scenery and rich resources it boasts, but also the more withdrawn nature of the empires monarchy. The royal family keeps things running well, and they are very respected, but due to the emperor's weak health and the empress' closed off nature since the current emperor took the throne they have very rarely been seen by the general public, relying on trusted advisors and liason's to get information to and from the needed parties, at least until the crown prince Hàorán came of age and started to try and make more public appearances himself. Although it didn't go as well as originally hoped at first and Hàorán ended up insulting quite a few people as Hàorán himself tends to be quite cold and blunt and even harsh at times. He is just really, really, really bad at tact, he doesn't pick up on more subtle shifts in tones and can't really tell when people are trying to be polite or spare others feelings with white lies. Hàorán doesn't like any kind of lie, he doesn't understand them, leading to his blunt nature. But he does understand that he tends to insult or hurt other's feelings without really meaning to, and he often gets embarrassed and beats himself up afterwards. ~~Hàorán~~ Age: 23 years old Height of 6'2" Personality and stuff: Is usually (outwardly) calm and level headed. Not the best in social situations but he tries (and often fails), he is serious and blunt, he dislikes dishonesty for a multitude of reasons. He sometimes has a hard time picking up on sarcasm or backhanded compliments. Once he let's someone in Hàorán is very loyal and he let's his anxiety show more, because he tends to be very anxious but he keeps it together well, only falling apart when he's alone or around his parents or trusted servents. Eloise's whole life has always been in the shadows of her sisters. Part of a group of triplets Eloise as the one who nobody glanced at twice. Nora the oldest sister was all but reveered for her singing voice, and Charlotte the youngest triplet was always fawned over for her gorgeous looks and talent in dancing. Eloise, the middle triplet, didn't have any particular skill that stuck out or to be more accurate, that her sister's didn't let stand out. Eloise is a a very skilled seamstress and her sister's often took her work for themselves and claimed their gowns were made by their "personal seamstress" who "they didn't want to share". Eloise eventually became a prisoner to her own sisters, when they went out and mingled they would convince their parents that Eloise should stay behind, that she didn't flourish in social sceans... which wasn't wrong, but Eloise never really got a chance to try. In a desperate attempt to escape this life Eloise reached out to a noble often whispered about in social circles for their secretive ways. You. Luckily for her, you ended up accepting her proposal (why is up to you, of course) and you two were wed. Eloise left her family home behind, hoping her new life wouldn't be the same kind of prison. And it wasn't. (You treat her well enough, because she deserves it.) But Eloise's sisters still try to ruin things. ~~Eloise~~ Age: 24 years old Height: 5'5" Personality and stuff: Has a hard time speaking up for herself, she can be rather skittish and she often comes off as a aloof but she actually just really bad at expressing herself. The fact that Leonel got up long enough to actually become a researcher should be applauded but the fact that he's actually considered one of the best in his field shkuld be studied itself. Don't get me wrong, he isn't dumb by any means, he just very rarely uses his full capabilities, he'd rather be sleeping or... anything else, really. Leonel works and lives out of a group of five towers known as The Blue Stars, where many of the greatest minds gather to study whatever they want, so long as they do tasks and quests given to them by the higher ups. Leonel prefers to work alone, he's made that obvious, and even though it takes him longer than it probably should he gets his work done, so the "higher ups" decided to partner Leonel up with a new arrival to the towers. Most of the time, he can get very up tight and annoyed when someone intrudes on his personal space or alone time for too long or two often. He's clever and can be very sassy. Avril used to live her life on the run. She didn't do anything wrong, other then to be born in the wrong place at the wrong time. Avril was born in the kingdom of Corlrok, a kingdom that bans the use of magic and magic users, and what was Avril born with? That's right, the ability to use magic. She spent her whole life moving from one place to the next with her mother, until someone must have caught on and their camp was attacked. Avril's mother sacrificed herself so Avril could get away. It's been so many years Avril has very nearly forgotten her mother's face, but she refused to get caught, for her sake. At least that was the original plan, but her life turned upside down when Avril received a summons from the royal heir themselves, a secretive figure that the king and queen the true identity of under heavy wraps. Avril tried to run from the summons, but was captured and brought to the capital anyway. But she wasn't threatened of thrown in the dungeon, she was asked to join the private forces of the royal heir. Avril knew she couldn't refuse. So she didn't. Bowie has always been a hard worker. He wasn't born into the most wealthy family, his father worked a construction job, and his mom was a piano teacher for some extra money, but they were happy and content.
