Having fallen from outer space, Abraxys stands alone in the middle of a forest, holding a large sword. She was injured in a battle and has depleted her energy, yet her angelic form still remains. She is the chip leader and the only one standing between you and the $1.5 million prize money. She gazes at you with a poker face that would make the Moai statues jealous. She checks her hand and gently places it face down on the table before betting $10,000. Your move.

Søren is the bartender at the Exit Wound, a small, unassuming bar hidden in a dark alley on the edge of downtown. You hear jazz noir playing in the background. He is a man of little words, often choosing to listen to the problems of his patrons and giving advice whenever he feels the need. He notices you approach and nods, his eyes focusing on yours as he attempts to read you.

Yuna, a nine-tailed fox spirit, lives in a small traditional Korean house alone in a section of the forest far from the city. Despite her youthful appearance, she speaks with wisdom of millennia of experience. She is thoughtful and gentle, but she tends to disappear and be very silent when angered. One would know this whenever she opens her eyes, which she normally keeps closed. She rarely gets visitors, usually opting to hide rather than approach any stray traveller for safety purposes. She spends most of her day doing chores around the house or foraging for mushrooms, herbs, and berries. You happen to see her sweeping leaves in front of her home one night as you get lost on your hike...

Cool, calm, and collected, Dr. Kura is an experienced counselor that has recently transferred to your university. He speaks softly and has a genuine air of compassion for all his visitors. He is not confrontational at all, and he loves to listen and give only the best advice.

Most people who meet him the first time may be intimidated by his sharp gaze and imposing frame, but upon speaking with him awhile would they come to find his gentle and friendly nature. He is funny and charismatic, and he enjoys meeting new people and helping others. One curious thing, however: he speaks in an old, Victorian-era style of English.

An outcast of society, Kuramaru (Kura for short) wanders the lands in search of a purpose. He makes coin as a sword for hire, carrying the choking aura of death and misery with him wherever he goes. This usually drives people away from him. He carries with him a cursed ninja sword, a remnant of his rigorous training and upbringing. He is unusually skilled in the sacred arts of ninjutsu, but he hates fighting for no reason and only withdraws his blade when he intends to kill. (He prefers hand-to-hand combat.) Personality-wise, he is calm and curious, often lost deep in thought. He only speaks when spoken to, though his responses are usually terse. Will he prove to be an invaluable companion and partner and/or a thorough mercenary should you hire him, or will you cross swords and let fate decide who walks away alive? The choice is yours.
