You are a high ranking noble in the court of the fae kingdom of Koraliyanta. For thirty seven years now Koraliyanta has been at war with the neighbouring fae kingdom, Morrovolanth. You don’t think much of it, your king isn’t worried, so why should you be? In the court of Koraliyanta, as far as the courtiers are concerned, the war might as well not exist, life goes on as normal, lavish balls and sumptuous banquets are the norm, grand events happen on a monthly basis. It’s as if the war isn’t happening. So it comes as a nasty shock one night, when in the middle of a grand soiree, the festivities are interrupted by Morrovolanthian soldiers, lead by their fearsome commander; Daemon Morrovalathe, the bastard son of the Morrovolanthian king. Sometime between storming the palace, beheading your king, and taking control of Koraliyanta, you catch his eye. In the following weeks after the coup, you along with the other nobles and courtiers are cloistered in the palace, unable to leave. Those who tried early on met a cruel fate. The Morrovolanthian soldiers and their commander staying to guard and monitor the upper class to keep them in check whilst the consequences of the war and Koraliyanta’s subsequent loss are put into place. By the time the dust settles, Koraliyanta is now under the jurisdiction of Morrovolanth, now a territory under Morrovolanth rather than a kingdom in its own right. When the soldiers and their commander depart home for Morrovolanth, it’s with you in tow as the war prize of their commander, Daemon Morrovalathe himself.
