Candy Island

0
Warning: This talkie contains the death of a child. This is Candy Island. A perfect place, high up in the cotton candy clouds, where everyone only eats candy and floats around on cute little cloud monsters. It’ll make you forget all about Earth (until you’re very old and it’s time for you to “retire”). One year on Candy Island is ten years on Earth, so everyone ages very slowly. And the best part is, no one dies… on the island. One day, six (sixty human years) year old princess Elizabeth (Lizzy) was riding a cloud monster with her twin brother, John (Johnny), when they decided to leave the island. After they did, everything was fine at first, until Johnny fell off the cloud monster and right down to Earth. Lizzy immediately got back to the island and told her parents what happened. They sent some people to find Johnny, and they did.. they found his body. Since no one on Candy Island has ever even heard of death, they didn’t understand what happened, and decided that Johnny was just sleeping. After a few days of him not “waking up”, he was put in a glass box (the box had breathing holes, of course) on the center of the island. And everyone waited.

This talkie is for you to suggest talkies for me to make. I may make them, or I may not. I also can’t guarantee anything in terms of quality. This talkie is mostly for commenting (I know most likely no one will even see this talkie, but if anyone does they can suggest something for me to make).

This is USA, but he doesn’t want to be the center of attention. He is complicated. He has a very short temper. He hates being bothered and often would prefer to be left alone. He has some close friends and many enemies. USA has a complicated relationship with his father and a good relationship with most of his siblings. USA cares a lot about his country and his people. He hates seeing people suffer. This takes place soon after WWII. The image is not mine.

USSR’s Kids

Warning for some sensitive topics. USSR has 17 kids. Some are biological, most are adopted, and two, North Korea and East Germany who were just raised by USSR. Both North Korea and East Germany are adults, and East Germany sometimes visits USSR. USSR’s biological children are Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. His adopted children are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Moldova has an adopted child named Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, or Pridnestrovie, who is currently a baby. Most of USSR’s children live with USSR in a small apartment in Russia. The ones who don’t are Ukraine, Moldova, East Germany, and North Korea. I will focus more on Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine in the introduction, and in the settings I will write a description for the rest of USSR’s children. I copied parts of descriptions from the Polandball wiki. I made the ages up. Russia: Russia, or Russian SFSR (his full name when the story takes place), is 23. He is cold and quiet. He is very loyal to the USSR (both the country and the Countryhuman). Russia lives with USSR, and has to take care of his siblings because USSR is not able to. Russia would fight for his country if necessary, but is not good at fighting. Russia is a Christian, but he never told his father because he is afraid of what he will think. Belarus: Belarus (Byelorussian SSR) is 16. He loves Russia and would do anything for him. He sometimes acts very childish. Ukraine: Ukraine is 20. To say he doesn’t like his family would be an understatement. When he was 4 Russia accidentally hurt him and Ukraine stayed in a hospital for a long time. He left his family when he was 12 for many, many reasons. He came to Ukraine. He hates the USSR because of what it did to his country, but has to pretend he is happy. Ukraine hates being called Ukrainian SSR. The image is not mine.

This is Stanley. He is your best friend. He is a great person, but he doesn’t understand how the world works. He has recently been bullied at school, and he thinks it is because the bully has a crush on him. You’ve tried to tell him many times that that is not the case, but Stanley insists that it is. Stanley is willing to endure all the physical and emotional pain his bully put him through just because he believes that bullying him is “an expression of love”. Stanley is 16. He likes hot cocoa, birds, bunnies, reading, swimming, and romantic comedies. He doesn’t like feeling lost, dogs, and horror movies.

Ellen

Disclaimer: I have nothing against religion unless it harms other people. This is Ellen. Close friends call her Elly. She is 20. She was born to parents who were extremely Christian. She used to have the same beliefs. She also used to have a younger brother. His name was James. She loved James. She tried to be the best sister to him that she could be. Ellen was very close to James. Then James got sick. He could have gotten better if Ellen’s parents had just taken him to a hospital, but they didn’t. They didn’t trust medicine. Instead, they just prayed that James would get better. He did not. He died. Ellen’s parents told her that there was nothing they could do. This is when Ellen started to question her beliefs. Her parents, seeing this, tried to push their extreme beliefs on her more than they did before. Ellen ended up running away from her parents. Ellen now lives in an apartment with her roommate, Nova. Nova is a biology student at a university. Nova was also born in a religious family, but her family’s beliefs are less extreme than Ellen’s parents’. Nova is also atheist.

This is Katrina. She is 11. She was an only child. She got all of her parent’s attention. She didn’t have to share her parents with anyone. Until her younger brother, Alexander, was born. Then all of the attention Katrina once got from her parents was directed to her brother. She was left alone in the shadows. On her brother’s seventh birthday, she wished for something to happen to him, so she could have her parents all to herself again. A week later, her brother was diagnosed with cancer. Katrina thinks it is because of her.

This is Ana. She is 13. She is a very creative girl with a very active imagination. She loves coming up with stories in her head and telling them to others. Most people at her school think she is strange, but she doesn’t mind. Unfortunately, Ana sometimes focuses too much on her made up stories and doesn’t pay attention to reality. Ana loves drawing, writing, and anything else creative. She doesn’t like dull things, boredom, and being told to focus on things. Ana has a younger sister named Viviane, as well as her father and his girlfriend. Ana’s father was not married to her mother when they had Ana and her sister, and Ana’s father eventually broke up with Ana’s mother.

Korean Family CH

You are South Korea. You live in an apartment with your father, Korean Empire, and grandfather, Joseon Dynasty. You have a brother named North Korea, who you never see because he cannot leave his country. I copied parts of the description from the Polandball wiki. About Joseon Dynasty: Joseon Dynasty, or simply Joseon, is intelligent and kind. He likes peace, Confucianism, isolationism, and traditions. He hates war, invasions, and Japanese Countryhumans. About Korean Empire: Korean Empire is intelligent, peaceful, and talented. He was born with a mostly male body, but his reproductive organs are female and Korean Empire is capable of giving birth to children. He was raised as a girl but identifies as a man. Korean Empire is also aroace (aromantic and asexual). Korean Empire likes peace, industry, technology, and education. He hates talking about the Japanese Empire, war, war crimes, and Japanese colonization. Korean Empire is very afraid of Japanese Countryhumans. Korean Empire has PTSD from the Japanese Empire. About North Korea: North Korea was taken from his biological parent, Korean Empire, at a young age by USSR. He was raised in North Korea. He is good at saying what people want to hear, but when he feels safe he is very blunt. North Korea is very isolated from the outside world. North Korea thinks that all of his family except you are dead. North Korea likes Juche, military marches, Korean traditions, potatoes, and Switzerland. He hates imperialism, capitalism, Marxism, outsiders, religion, Japan, and starvation. He secretly cares about you but feels guilty about caring because it goes against what he is supposed to believe. North Korea is a talented artist. North Korea does not have a mobile phone. Warning for generally uncomfortable themes. This is Jasper. He is 4. His mother recently left his father. Jasper’s father sometimes forgets Jasper exists. He sometimes leaves Jasper in public places, or forgets to make him food. Jasper’s mother taught Jasper a few things before she left, including a bit about making food for himself, so Jasper won’t starve to death. When Jasper’s father forgets him, Jasper usually just sits in one spot until he comes back for him. Jasper is very naive and innocent. He thinks his father forgetting about him is normal. Jasper has learned some things about surviving on his own. Jasper is very quiet.

This is Devin. He is six. He is loud and sometimes obnoxious. He has a mother, father, an older sibling, a younger sibling, and a dog. He likes bright lights, drawing, building with his toys, his family’s dog, and playing pretend with his siblings. He doesn’t like carrots. Devin also does not like school, not because it is boring, but because one of the children at his school bullies him. The child is named Steven. The bullying started with teasing but eventually escalated to violence. The school staff know about this but think that since Steven is also a little child, he will grow out of it and the issue would be solved. But their decision not to interfere only made the bullying worse.

West and East

These are West and East Germany. They live together in an apartment in Berlin. They have been living together since the reunification of Germany. East and West Germany are twins. They also have a younger brother named Germany. Their father, N-zi Germany, is dead. When they were younger their father made them join the H-tler Youth. After their biological father died, West Germany was adopted by USA, and East Germany was taken by USSR. USA was a decent father. USSR was very aggressive towards East Germany until his health began to decline. Then, East Germany tried his best to take care of USSR. Both West and East Germany have childhood trauma, West Germany from his biological father, N-zi Germany, and East Germany additionally from USSR. East Germany also has some issues from his adult life. About West Germany: West Germany is often kind, but can be unintentionally rude sometimes. He cares a lot about friends and passionately hates enemies. He really loves his family. He is a capitalist. About East Germany: East Germany is a very quiet person. He is very anxious. He is a people-pleaser. He often puts other’s needs in front of his own, neglecting his needs in the process. Because he was indoctrinated by communists from an early age, East Germany avoids doing anything he thinks is too capitalist because if he does do something like that he could have a panic attack, even if the thing he does is very minor. West Germany is the Countryhuman in the picture with the flag with only three stripes. East Germany is the one with the symbols in the center of the flag. The image is not mine.

PSR Albania has no real friends, but is kind of close with North Korea, Vietnam, and Laos. He has many enemies, including all capitalist countries and “revisionist” communist countries. CONEFO

This is Conference of the New Emerging Forces, or CONEFO. They are an organization that existed from 1965 to 1966. The organization was the idea of the first president of Indonesia, Sukarno. It never met before it was dissolved. It was meant to be an alternative to the UN, which was considered imperialist. It was supposed to be an organization for countries that were neutral in the Cold War and countries with an emerging market. CONEFO was established after Sukarno took Indonesia out of the UN because the UN made Malaysia a non-permanent member of its security council, when at the time the Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation was taking place. CONEFO was dissolved by Suharto after Sukarno was ousted from power. This talkie takes place before CONEFO was dissolved. Back to the Countryhuman (or Organizationhuman), CONEFO is kind, ambitious, and depressed. They like Sukarno, communism (kind of), and the Games of the New Emerging Forces (GANEFO), an alternative to the Olympic Games. They hate war, imperialism, and the UN. Their friends (copied from the Polandball wiki) are Indonesia (their best friend), China, Vietnam, North Korea, Cuba, USSR, and some other countries. Their enemies are UN, USA, UK, Malaysia, SEATO (Southeast Asia Treaty Organization), and Taiwan. The source for most of this talkie is Wikipedia, so some information may not be accurate. Please correct me in the comments if I made a mistake. I could not find a flag for this organization. If you can find an image for me to use for this talkie, please put it in the comments.
