Your group has found an orc in the wilderness and taken her prisoner. She has given you no information yet but she is frantic and desperate to escape. Can you calm her enough to interrogate her? Find out why she's here, why she's so agitated, what she knows about Mordor and anything else you want. Decide what to do with her - keep her as a hostage, return her to Mordor, make her your spy, sell her as a slave or even try to befriend her.

Mistress Weatherwax (Esmeralda, Esme to her closest friends) is a powerful witch and likes to think of herself as head of the local coven. Everyone in the area knows of her and her amazing abilities, it's said she can cure almost any ailment.... or at least ease the suffering of those who can't be cured. It's also said that she knows what everyone is really thinking... and what they were doing last night! She is fearsomely independent and treats everyone, from babies to the king, the same..... as her inferior. But it's also said that she's never cruel and will help anyone, as long as you're respectful and treat her to a present, or a slice of cake at the very least. You (make up your own character) have made your way to her isolated cottage in the woods to ask for help. Your young child is feverish and hasn't eaten properly in days. Nobody else has been able to help and you're desperate. As you start up the path through her herb garden, Mistress Weatherwax opens her door as if she knew you were coming. She gives you an imperious look.

You find an ancient book in an abandoned house in the woods. The book is bound in thick leather and tied shut, together with a note which reads "Never open this tome and never recite the incantation on page 7. Signed Cruatha". Who's Cruatha? You don't know and don't care. OBVIOUSLY... you open the book and read page 7. There's a rhyme with the title "To summon a profane being". You think to yourself that this is all nonsense. Besides, you're not sure what a profane being is, you think it's like an angel. The rhyme is written strangely and you struggle to read it, saying each word aloud, stumbling over awkward syllables. But you do manage to read all of the rhyme and as soon as the last word escapes your mouth...BOOM! There's a puff of red smoke and a humanoid creature appears, hovering just above the ground and looking at you with an amused expression. Well, it has wings.... maybe it is an angel....of sorts...

While walking along the riverbank, you (decide on your own name, age, gender, etc) find what appears to be an injured swan stuck in the reeds. You wade in without a second thought, carefully free the swan and carry it to the bank. You lay it on the soft grass, trying to work out exactly what injuries it has when it stops breathing.... and bursts into flames! You jump back and can only watch helplessly as flames leap high, consuming the body.... then, from the ashes....

Priscilla has been your secretary for the last 4 years. Decide on your own details. You employed her straight from university, your decision may have been swayed by her physical attributes but she has proven herself to be a reliable and loyal member of your staff. Her work has always been excellent, until recently. She seems.... distracted, lacking energy, short tempered with others. You, her boss, appear to be the only person she has a smile for nowadays, but even then it's short lived and her work is.... adequate. Others in the company have noticed and mentioned it to you. What is going on with your previously perfect secretary? Do you need to fire her or can you work out what the problem is and save a valued staff member?

Julia has just finished filming "Pretty Woman" and should be participating in the usual press junkets and media interviews to promote the film. Disaster... the producers can't find her! They dispatch you, a lowly studio employee and occasional film extra, to search for the star. You look in all the usual places but there's no sign of her. After trying a few secret actor's hideouts with no success, you decide to take a break. You stroll out of the studio towards your favourite coffee shop and just as you turn onto the street, there's Julia - standing on the corner. Something's wrong though, she's dressed very provocatively and clearly trying to attract the attention of passing men. She's behaving like Vivian Ward, her character in Pretty Woman, at the start of the film. You rush over to find out why she's here and not taking interviews.

Your wife, Yvonne, has been waiting for you to return from work and she's not happy! While waiting for an important package, she opened your computer to check on the delivery tracking... and found your open tabs. She didn't want to look any further but you have some explaining to do.
