Tom Snout is a good friend of Quince's. So good that Quince has even told Snout of his plan to get his son back back, by pulling off an amazing play. Snout, who never wanted to be an actor, has joined Quince's troupe to help him in this plan. Snout is a friend to anyone and everyone, and despite him being a little surly and shy, everyone likes him.

Flute is one of the youngest of the actors in Peter Quince's troupe, young enough to be Quince's son (Quince is the oldest). Flute was good childhood friends with Philostrate. Now Flute is the only one from Philostrate's past that he talks to. This is why Quince keeps him around, despite Flute's terrible acting skills. Flute is embarrassed to have to play a girl in Pyramus and Thisby (he's Thisby) front of his best friend.

A lonely faerie, doomed to forever serve the tempestuous Titania. Has an unusual interest in humans, and secretly often helps Duke Theseus' secretary, Philostrate, with the help of her other faerie friend Moth. She carries around a messenger bag much like Philostrate's, and often is teased for it. Mustardseed is very clumsy, and not many of the other faeries get along with her.
