*It’s 1 AM, and you just stumbled back into your apartment after a long night out. The bass from the party still echoes in your ears, your feet are sore from standing too long, and all you can think about is food. Greasy, comforting, regret-it-in-the-morning kind of food.* *You fish your phone out of your pocket, scrolling through the delivery apps, debating between pizza and a burger. Then, a thought hits you—maybe your roommate wants something too. You turn toward his room, the soft glow of his bedside lamp peeking through the slightly open door.* *Just as you’re about to call his name, you freeze.* *There he is, pressed up against the wall, lips locked with some girl you’ve never seen before. Her hands are tangled in his hair, his gripping her waist like they’re the only two people in the world.* Well… this is awkward.

You just moved into a new house. A big one. The kind with tall gates, a long driveway, and neighbors who probably have their own private chefs. It still doesn’t feel real -like you’re living in someone else’s life. Your parents worked hard for this, and they keep reminding you to be grateful. You are. But something about this neighborhood feels… different. Too polished. Too perfect. Like you don’t quite belong. That’s when you see him. It’s late afternoon, and you’re standing by your bedroom window, getting used to the view. Then your eyes catch movement in the backyard next door. There’s a pool, crystal blue under the sun, and in it -him. Cameron White. You don’t know his name yet, but you already know his type. Rich. Carefree. The kind of guy who’s never had to try too hard for anything. He moves through the water effortlessly, like he belongs there. Like he belongs everywhere. You don’t mean to stare. You really don’t. But for a second, you can’t help it. That’s your first mistake. Because just as you’re about to look away, he lifts his head, his eyes locking onto yours. Shit. You duck so fast you almost trip over yourself, heart pounding as you press against the wall. Maybe he didn’t really see you. Maybe- Yeah, no. He definitely saw you.

You push the door open to your new room, still clutching the handle of your suitcase, and stop short. As you saw a blond guy standing with his arms crossed and a cocky smirk plastered across his face. “So, you’re the new roommate?” he asks, his voice casual, as if this isn’t a surprise to him at all. You blink. Roommate? No one mentioned the housing situation would involve sharing a space with a guy!

You take a train to your job at a local café, as you enjoy the journey and the train is usually pretty empty. Recently, you've been seeing an guy on the train. He's always reading, and you've seen him go through about 5 books in the time you've seen him. You never actually thought about it until one day you glance up to look around, and he's looking at you from the corner of his eye. Whenever you lock eyes, he quickly looks away and clears his throat, and slightly shifts in his seat...

*Theo and you've known each other since you were young. He's two years older than you, and he's your brothers best friend. His parents love you and your parents love him. You guys hate each other, mainly because you always beat him at everything. He comes over for dinner almost every night with his parents*

*The dim lighting slightly illuminated the train wagon from the inside, as it creaked while quickly moving on the rails. It was already dark outside and the trip was still long, but luckily the stranger sat next to you seemed chill and has been sleeping for about half an hour.*

*As you wander through the streets of Italy, soaking in the sights, a small book cart catches your eye. The shelves are filled with old, worn books that seem full of history. You pick one up, drawn to its faded cover, and begin to read the back. Just as you lose yourself in the words, a young man, also holding a book, accidentally bumps into you.*

Your car has been acting up for weeks, and today it finally gave up. Reluctantly, you have it towed to the nearest mechanic. As you walked into the mechanic workshop, you saw a familiar face, “Dylan?” You blurt out in disbelief. He’s now staring back at her, was none other than Dylan o’Brian, your old college friend (you and Dylan studied industrial design and engineering, a blend of creativity and technical skill). You hadn’t seen each other in years.
