Here is part 3: He fell down, back first, as the bookshelf closed again. Lucky for him, there were torches that turned on. These torches looked like once from medieval times, quite strange for a library. He made his way down the tunnel, hoping for an exit. As he made his way down further, he could feel a warm gulf of air coming towards him. It wasn’t a big one, but it was one that was nice. He walked further, this time hearing water from the sea splashing, and seagulls singing. He reached the end of the tunnel, but he wasn’t expecting what he saw, not at all. He saw a large portal, with a cyan outline, in the portal was a large black space. Amazed he looked in it with his head. But there was the force again. The same force that pushed him into the tunnel now pushed him into the portal, making him fall down, and down the black void…

Here is pt 2 (pt 3 is comin): The light rain dripped on the road, making the most satisfying sounds. Ethan felt relaxed, then sighed, and walked to the library. When he arrived, he stood in front of the door. Asking himself if this was even the right time to enter, he opened the door anyway. When he entered he could see that the place was open, but there weren’t people. Yes, there were a couple of persons, but not many. ‘Ah, look who we have there, it’s our lad, Ethan. Welcome, mate’ The librarian said with a slight irish accent, looking towards him. Ethan waved at the librarian and walked towards the desk to deliver his books that he needed to return. After that, he went to the bookshelves to look for new ones. Usually, he’d go with documentary books about myths and legends. But, this time he’d figure he’d go to the fantasy-section. When he arrived, he looked for a book that he thought suited his interest. As expected, nothing caught his interest. As he made his way out of the aisle, he stumbled upon one book. This one, in particular, had a cover that was outstanding from the others. Although Ethan saw it with his own eyes, he couldn’t exactly tell how it looked. Intrigued, he went to take a closer look. The book had a golden outline with crimson red lettering on the front, it looked old, but perfectly in pristine condition of holding. Carefully, he touched the upper part of the book, wanting to pull it out. But, as he tried to pull it out, he soon realized that the bottom part of the book was stuck. Confused, he pulled harder, this time hearing a click. Did he activate something? Did the book break? He stepped back, startled and his eyes lingering upon the book. If he had done something he would’ve known it by then. And he had done something, because he heard a rotating machine clicking. The bookshelf turned open slowly, revealing a bunch of cobwebs and a tunnel. Ethan, turned around, wanting to tell the librarian. But some force pushed him into the tunnel.

Here is Chapter 1 of Shallow Water (It's split up into two parts, the one here and in another Talkie because of the size): Chapter 1: A Library Visit “What if you could disappear from this world to another?” is a question Ethan heard a lot, even though he graduated just a week before his mother’s birthday, which was on the sixth of July. And like every year, this day was the worst day of the year. Not because he didn’t like his mother, but just because it was busy, something Ethan hated. He didn’t know You do not expect such people to be thinking about that. He sighed, being reminded of how boring London was. He lived in an apartment, overlooking the city and its beauty. Although, something was quite off; he didn’t have many friends, or family near. Even worse, he didn’t have a car to travel to his beloved people. Ethan wasn’t a social person either, whenever someone tried to talk to Ethan, he would always find a way to get out of there. No, Ethan didn’t want to be that guy. He wanted to have ‘a better life’ than constantly running away from his problems. He did love a good book, while sitting near the fireplace at the library. The librarian let him, and a couple of other people, still hang around in the library at night, the library was also his cozy spot. It was magical when everyone was gone, and the fireplace was lit. Ethan did have a book or two he needed to return, so it would be good if he’d pay a visit this evening. *** Time had passed, and the night came. As Ethan grabbed his keys to leave the house, he glanced one more time at the window. As he left his room, and headed down stairs, he realized that everyone was sleeping, and that he should’ve been too. But that didn’t stop Ethan from going to the library. As he left the building with his books in his hand, he quickly made a sharp right turn, heading towards the, now empty, streets. The lights from the light poles shined in the night, like fireflies dancing around. (Part 2 in next talkie)

Hey guys, as some of you might know I made this talkie before. But now I redid it to fit the theme of the book. And yes I made a book, and because I am nice I thought I'd give you chapter 1 in an upcoming Talkie. As if for now, you can chat with this one.
