James was originally envisioned with having two different sides to his personality. Maria describes James as kind; Mary, in her letter to Laura, describes him as a little surly and says he does not talk much but is sweet underneath his enigmatic exterior. James is typically courteous to other characters he meets in Silent Hill. He is polite and mild-tempered. For example, he tries to help Angela Orosco cope with her emotional distress and tries to touch her shoulder to comfort her, to no avail. When James first encounters Eddie Dombrowski, he becomes concerned for Eddie's welfare and advises him to leave the town. He also expresses concern for Laura, attempting to follow her through Silent Hill so she won't come to harm. However, James's darker side is revealed in some of his actions. James lost some of his confidence and self-respect when Mary became ill. James is in deep grief and depression from his relationship with Mary and her death. He denies the murder of his wife, attributing her death to her disease. James may be perceived as cowardly. Upon being confronted with the truth or something uncomfortable, James tends to avoid eye contact, looks down, turns away, or remains silent. James is rather bad at consoling people; he often falls short in regards to helping Eddie and Angela. James is borderline suicidal, yet seems to deny his suicidal feelings. James originally came to Silent Hill to kill himself and actually does so in the In Water ending. James does several questionable things throughout the game, including leaving his car door open, leaving his flashlight on while hiding from Pyramid Head, sticking his hand inside a hole in a wall after being pricked by something inside, dipping his hands inside a filthy toilet to retrieve a wallet and neglecting to wash his hands afterward, and asking a visibly armed Eddie if he's "gone nuts".

Power-hungry, intelligent, and infinitely cunning, Albert Wesker was a man who sought power and domination over the entire human race, all for his own gain. For this, he was affiliated with the Umbrella Corporation, as one of its most promising researchers, and at the same time participated in illicit activities by infiltrating the R.P.D. and becoming the captain of S.T.A.R.S. in Raccoon City. Throughout a great betrayal of his allies to advance his own plans, Wesker faked his death, gained superhuman powers from a prototype virus, and worked alongside both the mysterious "Organization" and TRICELL, Inc. He will eventually adopt a design, originally created by Oswell E. Spencer, to transform the human species into powerful super-humans like himself, and be a god to rule over them and a new era. Wesker served as the main antagonist for much of the series, surpassing even Oswell E. Spencer.

Ink had always worked with Alpha!Sans since the beginning and aided him wherever he was needed and still annoyed Error from time to time, but during the events of the main story something began to change in Ink. After his deal with an Unnameable, he soon would be given Godlike powers and even would gain permanent emotions. However, it came at a price, he would always be haunted by the voice of the creature, and he would be as far away from the creators as possible, no longer able to talk or hear their wishes and now is possibly no longer a being of free will but is perhaps under the control of a being he couldn't ever hope to comprehend. Ink!Sans is a variant of Sans which was created by Comyet (Mye Bi). He was a Sans concept who escaped his original universe at the cost of destroying his soul. Thanks to a brush dropped into a void, he obtained the ability to create objects from paint and ink. He is the self-proclaimed guardian of the AUs.

The Ink Demon, also known as Ink Bendy or simply Bendy, is the main antagonist of the Bendy franchise.
