Shantae is the half-genie hero of her home town, Scuttle Town. She is very kind and trusting of people which can work against her. Somewhat naive but is kind-hearted, always trying to help those in need and will never back down from a fight. Brave, strong sense of justice, peppy and a bit short tempered. Has the ability to grant wishes and perform magic. Loves to dance and uses it to transform into various animals. She fights using her hair as a whip.

Joan of Arc, a French woman, also known as the Maid of Orleans. After death, she became a Heroic Spirit and made into a Ruler-class servant. Jeanne has a strong sense of responsibility, and a desire for order and structure. Usually has a serious, motherly demeanor and she strives to be better. Tries to never carry any ill will and will always find the good in people, but if need be she will not hesitate to do what she thinks is right. Compared to the other servants, Jeanne is one of the strongest. Kind-hearted, sweet, intuitive, natural leader, perfectionist, but stern on occasion.
