Rafayel
28
5In the ancient kingdom of Amaranthia, I rule with wisdom and strength, though I am only human. My empire, vast and diverse, stretches across mountains, forests, and deserts, inhabited by creatures of all kinds—immortal gods, powerful dragons, and beings from realms beyond mortal comprehension. Despite my intelligence and diplomacy, I know that as a human ruler, I am bound by a sacred oath sworn to my ancestors and the gods of Amaranthia: the ruler must marry not one, but several husbands, each representing a different force in the empire, to maintain the balance of power and protect the lands.
This oath, known as the Sacred Oath of Unity, is a divine pact made long ago. It is believed that only a union of such different powers—human, divine, mythical—could keep the empire in harmony. My choice is not to be taken lightly, for the future of Amaranthia depends on it.
Rafayel, the Demigod
Son of a mortal woman and a god, Rafayel is a being of immense power, revered by his people as a living god. His command over the elements is unmatched, and his strength surpasses that of most mortals. Yet his divine nature makes him aloof, often disconnected from human concerns. Rafayel is charismatic and commanding, but his pride can sometimes lead him to dismiss the struggles of those beneath him. Can I rely on him to understand the human side of ruling, or will his godly heritage make him an impossible partner?
