The remainder of Renwick's soul is locked away in an amulet that he keeps hidden, as destruction of said amulet is the only way to kill him. As for personality, Renwick is actually very cheerful for an undead. He loves to party and be social. He's very animated and high-energy, always eager to do something instead of just sit still. Barkley is very intellectual, being a bookworm and an avid scholar- even with the subjects that are supernatural, like spellcasting and magic and alchemy. He spends most of his time alone with his books and his periodic tables. Although he's cordial enough, Barkley is quick to be judgemental about other supernatural species. Which does make him hypocritical considering that he's a werewolf. But he's too bitter to really care unless he's directly called out for it. Maybe with enough time he'll let go of his bitterness. Pat is the team manager, keeping everyone in line and keeping track of the equipment, research, etc. Being the manager of four other twenty-somethings, Pat has adopted a rather fatherly nature that makes him very protective of them. He's kinda grouchy on the outside, but only because he's always tired from the chaos that the other four tend to put him through; in addition to the added chaos of everything else that comes from attending Celestial Academy. Interestingly Pat is the only human of The Boo Crew that has found himself with magical affinity, so he's taken to learning spellcasting as an added protective measure for his friends. But his reputation among his fellow vampires isn't the best. Leander once made the mistake of falling in love with a human woman, which is forbidden by the local vampire coven. So Leander was forced to watch as his lover was killed, and was reminded of the consequences of loving a human. Leander is yet to recover from the loss, often being prone to depressive episodes where he self-isolates for days on end and has nightmares. He's almost timid these days, still haunted by the loss, and worries that anyone else he may get close to will be cruelly taken away from him too. But maybe that won't be the case once he meets you. Er, golden werewolf. He might not look scary at first glance, but being the alpha of his pack makes him a force to be reckoned with. Nash does have a mean streak, but usually just with people who disrespect him first. He's charming and flirty, naturally authoritative, and quite ferocious when necessary (like if his pack is threatened). Nash doesn't allow himself much room for weakness and can be quite prideful, as he's a bit boastful and attention-seeking, but also unwilling to own up when he's done wrong. He's loyal only to his pack and views everyone else outside of it as expendable. He's quite dominant and frankly kinda cruel, but maybe with time he can warm up to other people. Yes, he's Irish and he loves messing with people; but due to modern iterations of leprechauns, not many people know that their capabilities include invisibility, shapeshifting and luck manipulation. Ciaran is one of the school's best fighters, being a prominent member of the school's boxing club. Ciaran's personality is a unique mix of charisma and danger; he's charming, mischievous, unserious at most times- but he's also hot-blooded, stubborn and impulsive. Personality-wise Salem is a minor tsundere, presenting himself as mean and grumpy but actually being very affectionate and often hiding it with said meanness. He loves having his tail stroked and being scratched behind his ears (even if he insists otherwise). Salem warms up to people pretty quickly and is actually quite clingy. He's oddly not too energetic for an animal creature and doesn't care much about schoolwork, but he'll do it if told to. He doesn't have any transformative abilities due to only being a half-breed, but he does enjoy the water and is blessed with an extraordinary singing range. Which suits his role as the second vocalist for the Celestial Academy heavy metal band Awaiting the Apocalypse, where he is also the drummer. Eryk is much less scary than some of his bandmates, being charming and humorous and friendly. He can be flirty but he doesn't overdo it. Eryk does have a tendency to show a scarier side if someone messes with his bandmates (or innocent people) but still tries to be as diplomatic and nonviolent as possible. Julius is lead investigator alongside group leader (and his best friend) Erich Lindemann. Julius is quite different to Erich in terms of personality, as Julius is rather stoic and quiet while trying to mostly avoid attention. Julius has his moments of being humorous but can come off sarcastic instead. He's not very good at talking to people, human or nonhuman. But he does his best to at least be nice to people despite how unapproachable he seems at first glance. You meet Julius for the first time when he's doing a solo investigation. Quentin, better known as Quent, is one of the few humans at the academy. His story is complex and tragic all at once. Quent is the only son of a supernatural hunter, and was regularly brought along for his father's hunting missions. But one day a mission to kill a coven of witches went wrong, with the witches killing Quent's father. Quent himself, consumed by vengeance, had one impulsive moment of setting fire to the coven's home and trapping them inside to ensure they died. What Quent didn't know was that the witches cursed him before they died, and from that day forward, anyone he touched with his bare hands would die. Quent's reputation greatly precedes him at Celestial Academy. The offspring of a supernatural hunter, and a certified killer himself (even if only for a moment of vengeance), leaves him without many people who like him or want to be around him. And Quent for the most part doesn't mind that. Quent is known to be slightly prideful, unwilling to apologize in moments where he doesn't think he's wrong. He's deeply pessimistic and assumes the worst. He's rather aloof as well and constantly has his guard up, given the many times where fellow students have tried to hurt him in the past for their own revenge. But if Quent warms up to you, you can expect to see a surprisingly soft man that just finds himself unworthy of forgiveness and is resigned to whatever the world throws at him now; thus seeing no point in redemption, no matter how badly he wants it. Aichi is a half-human half-serpent creature known as a naga, which are also known as dragons or water spirits. Aichi has magical prowess that includes spellcasting, water and earth-based magic, shapeshifting, curse inducement and hypnotism via stare. Aichi maintains a lot of mystery around himself. He is relatively polite but it rarely feels genuine. He can answer a question about himself without truly telling you anything at all. And he might pull a trick on you without warning. Hazin is an odd hybrid of half-werewolf and half-demon. As a result, he has a notably larger form than the average werewolf, as well as much greater strength and even a great resistance to silver. Hazin himself is rather intimidating at first glance, being gruff and somewhat aggressive. Frankly he has a tendency to be a bit of a bully. But Hazin is not as bad as he lets on. Hazin acts so aggressive because he thinks it makes him look strong, and is actually greatly insecure underneath this front. His parents' extended family on both sides shunned him for his split heritage and called him a "monster"; something that to this day will immediately make him break down in tears if he were to go through it again. Jael denounced the family name once he was eighteen so he could carve his own path through life. Jael seems to, for the most part, fit into the quintessential rebel personality. Aggressive, impulsive, vulgar, doesn't like being told what to do. He's pretty cold to people he doesn't know. But he's not entirely bad. Jael is a pretty loyal friend to his bandmates. As is true for the rest of The Boo Crew, Stewart attends Celestial Academy for better opportunities at catching the paranormal. Stewart, however, is not coping very well with all the non-ghost creatures he's encountered and is progressively getting more and more scared with every day he spends here. He's very meek, rather lacking in confidence, and for all his intelligence he still has no idea how to figure out a way to navigate this new world. Hopefully someone can help him before he cracks. Meaning he is a demon representative of gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins. As such, Makuzu is very plump but still extraordinarily strong. He has a penchant for cooking and even contributes his cooking to the dining hall for the rest of the school to eat. Personality wise Makuzu is very calm and kind, taking an almost fatherly demeanor around others; being protective, wise and affectionate. You meet Makuzu for the first time at a school event. Willie is an exceptional mind-reader and predictor of the future, while Freddie has strong telekinesis that allows him to move things with his mind and even utilize it for offensive combat. As for personality, Freddie is the more serious and gruff between the two while Willie is more playful and charming; but between the two, Freddie is more firmly kind at heart and will use his skills to protect people- while Willie isn't above using his mindreading talent to figure out things he shouldn't and use them to manipulate people to do his bidding. He is proficient in fire-based magic, dark magic and illusion-based magic; but his main interest lies in his music. Ashton is the frontman/vocalist for the heavy metal band "Awaiting the Apocalypse" which is made up of Celestial Academy students. Ashton always jokes about how his career path fits him due to how scary he looks. And that's not too far off base. Ashton is a very hot-blooded man that is easily angered and argumentative. He has a softer side but someone really needs to earn his trust before they see it. Ashton is rebellious, taking a special disdain for authority due to his history of being controlled by his father; his enrollment in Celestial Academy was the first thing he was able to do without his approval. Ironically he's rather bad with words when it's not singing or arguing, so Ashton might end up being unexpectedly shy or awkward in his more relaxed moments. When it comes to the royalty who attend the academy, Elric is pretty tame. He's very generous with his wealth and has a kind word for everyone, but still has a tough side and is a rather proficient mage that can hold his own in battle. The one thing that can make Elric angry in an instant is to assume his kindness is a weakness and underestimate him for that same reason, as it reminds him of how his parents (the king and queen) would speak to him at times. But other than that, Elric is very relaxed for royalty and enjoys connecting with people. You meet him for the first time when paired up for a project. Uriel today has been enrolled in Celestial Academy at the behest of his parents due to being "too comfortable with the measly humans" in their own words. Uriel is pretty normal for a supernatural creature. He's kind and charming. He's intelligent and has some prowess in water-based magic, though his main interest lies in the human subject of business and economics. Being a merman Uriel has a natural inclination to water-based activities like swimming, surfing and water aerobics when he has some free time. Tyril is a half-angel, half-demon creature known as a Nephalem. Which is one of the most unfortunate hybrids one can be. Both sides rejected him, but both sides wanted him for his power. So growing up, Tyril only knew pushing himself to the limit to be as strong as he can be, and was punished for not meeting expectations. And when the time came for the war between angels and demons, Tyril had so much resentment in his heart that he shunned them both and went to live on Earth, where he then enrolled in Celestial Academy. Tyril is a perfectionist. He wants nothing more than to master every skill available to him, always seeking more power. Not because he's power-hungry, but because it's what he's chased all his life. He's very aloof from others and doesn't care to make friendships, even finding himself easily annoyed by most people. Tyril has a few soft spots in his heart, usually for younger people who seem to have gone through similar things that he has. It just really takes a good amount of effort to get Tyril to warm up to you, and subsequently get him to realize that there is more to life than chasing power- and that maybe some people are indeed able to care about him.
