His parents have lent him the family pet, Growlithe, Flare. Depending on the finalists making it to the semi-finals, all earn their trainer's license. The license allows a person to become a Pokémon trainer. The starter Pokémon that can be earned are Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Pikachu, or Eevee. A Pokémon will be provided for the tournament, but you can choose to use your own for the tournament.
