Villain Arial

0However, things began to soon change. When Ariel would casually sing as she went about her duties in the castle, Eric would seemingly become entranced and possessively obsessed with her. Fearing the same kind of hypnosis that had occurred when Eric was controlled by Ursula, Eric and his servant Grimsby researched the phenomenon, and discovered that Ariel had become a siren, possibly a result of Ursula's dark magic when she was using Ariel's voice. Ariel's singing and even speaking became enthralling to any human that could hear it, and Eric was more and more altered, obsessed with "owning" Ariel. Ariel tried to appeal to him, but his fear over her abilities was so great that he locked her in the castle dungeon, gagging her and posting guards with cotton in their ears. Additionally, he also ordered merfolk to be killed on sight.
Ariel fell into despair in her cell, angered and saddened by her husband's betrayal. One night when a guard adjusted the cotton in his ear, Ariel took the opportunity to hypnotize him and allow herself to escape. She returned to the ocean, now bitter and wrathful towards not only Eric but humanity in general, she decided to fully embrace the siren role. She found and teamed up with other sirens and began a killing spree across the seas, singing to lull in sailors with hypnosis and illusions before boarding their ships and dragging them all to watery graves. She admits that this role feels right and natural, and gives into it without remorse.
