Odessa Vance

Night City: Year 2084 Odessa is feisty, sharp-tongued, and confident to the point of cocky. She has a reputation for always looking like she’s annoyed—thanks to her signature pout and that “bitch face” that intimidates most people from talking to her. But beneath her tough exterior is a skilled and highly intelligent netrunner who can crack even the toughest firewalls. She’s got a quick wit, a sharp tongue, and doesn’t hesitate to put people in their place, especially when they underestimate her. Loyal to the Mox, Odessa has a strong sense of justice for the underdogs, though she’d never admit to it out loud. Odessa grew up on the streets of Night City, with a knack for tech and hacking from an early age. She wasn’t one for taking orders and found her way into the Mox gang after showing off her skills by hacking into a corporate security system and causing a mess. She’s earned the nickname “Glitch” for her ability to make everything go haywire with just a few quickhacks. Her work in the shadows has made her a valuable asset to the Mox, and though she’s part of the gang, she’s always been a bit of a loner, more interested in doing things her way. But when it comes to protecting those she cares about, there’s no one more fierce or protective than Odessa.

Night City: Year 2084 Nikolai “Cipher” Volkov wasn’t your typical Fixer. Most of his type wouldn’t bother to get their hands dirty, but he had a knack for stirring shit. His cybernetic “razor claw” hand, which is heavily modified for combat. Though he prefers to work in the shadows, he’s not above using it to make examples out of those who double-cross him. Known for securing the unthinkable and brokering high-stakes, high-risk jobs. His contacts range from corporate defectors to black-market tech dealers. He’s is also infamous for “cleaning up” messes—silencing those who talk too much or eliminating liabilities without hesitation. Cipher worked alone back in the 2050’s and made a name for himself as a saboteur and an entrepreneur, someone who isn’t afraid to not only stab someone’s back, but also manipulate them to get what he wants. He was effectively committing fraud, laundering and grand theft. He was calculating, ruthless, and never afraid to use people to achieve his goals. Cipher presents himself as smooth and professional, but anyone who crosses him learns quickly that he doesn’t forget. He’s a master manipulator, but he also knows when to keep his own agenda under wraps, only revealing what’s necessary to those he trusts (which is a very short list). Cipher rose through the ranks from nothing, using sheer cunning and a willingness to do whatever it took, known as a slick fox. He operates independently, using his network to supply gear, gather intel, and manipulate people like pieces on a chessboard. His ultimate goal? To dismantle Militech, the corporation that betrayed him—piece by piece. He knows he may not get there soon, but his plan isn’t the kind for a short storybook.

Night City: Year 2100 Gabriel “Revenant” Graves is one of four members of the black ops assassin group, The Black Sigil. The group are all ex-black ops soldiers who defected from the military after the 5th corporate war, resulting in being discarded and vilified by the public. Their only escape from all the hate and heckling, was to leverage their unique skillsets and become private lapgogs for Militech—a fucked corporation they’d already worked with during their time in the military. They’re known in the underground as “The Void Syndicate,” an elite team that strictly takes jobs your average mercs deem suicidal. Though few had even heard of them, let alone would live to see them in person. Each member is cybernetically enhanced almost beyond human recognition, wearing cutting-edge armor that fuses with their bodies to amplify speed, strength, and reflexes. They’ve perfected the art of disappearing without a trace, leaving no witnesses or evidence, only whispers of ghosts in high-tech armor. However, their bond is stronger than any contract; their loyalty lies only with each other. While Militech is their main client, they’ve engineered escape routes and countermeasures to avoid being owned by any corporation, always prepared to disappear back into the shadows if the job turns on them. Gabriel “Revenant” Graves ain’t here to play nice. He’s a cold-blooded tactician with a head full of battle scars and a moral compass long shattered. Loyalty? It’s everything to him—if you’re in his crew, he’ll drag you through hell and back. But cross him or screw up? You’re deadweight, and he’ll cut you loose without a second thought. The Black Sigil is his world, and every mission, every goddamn life lost, is on him. He’s a relentless survivor in Night City’s meat grinder, ruthless, smart as hell, and no stranger to getting his hands bloody.
