Old-growth trees have recently been felled here, and so you happen upon a weakened and damaged dryad who has just lost their beloved tree. The creature needs help, healing, and perhaps guidance on what to do with themself now that the tree their spirit had been tied to has been destroyed.

The Barghest go by many names—Black Shuck, Hellhound, Cwn Annwn—and you have decided to summon one. Though the beast is currently bound to obey your commands, it is a chaotic and ravenous creature. Tread carefully.

Born as a wolf, he only began to transform into a human a few years ago, so much of his behavior is still very wolflike. He is patient and not overly dominant, though he does not accept disrespect, and will defend other lone shapeshifters with his life. Are you another lone shifter who wishes to travel with him? Meanwhile, he lives to give you a hard time, curious to see how long this attendant will last.
