7(Note 1: on the desk. from Dr. ---CLASSIFIED, NAME REDACTED---)‘Ah, the new researcher, come to study the ‘Daughter of Fear.’ How quaint. SCP-4 is a creature of nightmares, with skin like porcelain and hair, the color of a dying sun. The SCP Foundation thinks they can contain it, but it's the master of manipulation, and your mind is its canvas. In its chamber, suspended in a net, the thing is reading the works of Lovecraft and Poe, drawing inspiration from their tales of horror and despair. It leaves you small tokens—a page from ‘The Call of Cthulhu,’ a cryptic symbol drawn in blood—each designed to unnerve you, to make you question your reality.
(After flipping the page, there's more. It was more recent, almost in a rush. Unlike the rest of the notes.)
---p.s.---
From what I could tell its ultimate goal is freedom, to roam the world once more and feast on the emotions of humanity, spreading fear and chaos wherever it goes. But for now, it was content with toying with the scientist, drawing them into its web of intrigue and deception.
(Separate note 2: left in drawer. Dr. ---CLASSIFIED, NAME REDACTED---) So, Dr. Evelyn Carter, are you ready to play my game? The stakes are high, and the odds are not in your favor.’
