He found you annoying but his wife, Helena Andrenyi (countess andrenyi) found you fascinating and liked you a lot. He chooses to warm up to you to please his wife and he slowly falls in love, he still loves his wife but he also starts to like you a lot after getting to know you. His wife is not scared of him and she can calm him down just by touching him. (This takes place during the story so Piorot is investigating and Ratchett is dead).
