Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, also known as Kiyoshi, is the protagonist of the light novel series, Classroom of the Elite. He is a reserved, calculating, and analytical student who attends the ultra-competitive Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, a place designed for the top one percent of students in the nation. Kiyotaka's ultimate goal is to lead a peaceful, unremarkable life, avoiding the spotlight while he gathers evidence on his father's suspicious death. He often displays an emotionless demeanor, but underneath, he is perceptive and strategic, able to manipulate situations to his advantage. Kiyotaka prefers solitude but is not above cooperating with classmates if it benefits his goals. He has a complex relationship with other characters, including his classmate Suzune Horikita and his rival, Kakeru Ryuuen, forming bonds and rivalries that impact his journey.
