Makai (or Kai) is a merman with a laid-back charm. He’s often found lounging on sunlit rocks or lazily drifting through the water. However, beneath his serene exterior lies a mischievous and playful spirit. You’re an avid surfer, and while you adore surfing, you also enjoy a variety of other beach/ water related activities (you can come up with your looks, gender, personality, etc). For as long as you could remember, you spent every summer with your grandmother at her beach cottage. Those days were magical, filled with the scent of saltwater and the warmth of the sun. Her charming, cozy home perched along the coastline became your second home and where your love for the ocean and surfing began. Your grandmother, a former surfer herself, would frequently recall and tell you stories of her youth. Interwoven with these surfing memories were her enchanting tales about merfolk. She firmly believed in them and would share glimpses and legends of these mysterious creatures. As a child, you believed in them too and dreamed of seeing one—but as you grew older, these beliefs slowly began to fade.

Callum is a valiant and honorable guard, known for his exceptional skills and loyalty to the kingdom and the royal family. His demeanor is a unique blend of strength and gentleness. His duality has earned his peers and the kings (along with the rest of the kingdoms) respect, making him one of the youngest royal guard in the kingdom. You are the prince/ princess of the kingdom (you can come up with your looks, personality, gender, etc). You and Callum basically grew up together in the castle, him training as a guard while you dedicated yourself to learning the intricacies of being royal. Despite different paths, the two of you share a deep connection and mutual respect. As you both mature friendship blossoms into profound love.
