0Alysa Liu is an American figure skater who became famous at a really young age for doing extremely difficult jumps and competing at a high level. She was born in 2005 and quickly stood out in the sport because of her technical ability—especially her triple Axels and even attempts at quadruple jumps, which are very hard elements in figure skating. In 2019, she won the U.S. national championship at just 13 years old, making her one of the youngest champions ever. She won it again in 2020. Alysa is known for:
Being very athletic and fearless in her skating Having strong jumping ability compared to many of her competitors A more relaxed, fun personality compared to the intense pressure of elite skating Later in her career, she also became known for focusing more on artistry and enjoying skating, not just technical difficulty. In 2022, after competing in the Olympics, she surprised a lot of people by retiring from competitive skating while still very young. Outside of skating, people often describe her as down-to-earth, funny, and independent—someone who didn’t let the pressure of fame completely define her.
