Turns out, the same cannibalistic human caught up to her, and, out of guilt and fear, she threw her son into the sea (hoping he'd survive), as she narrowly dodged and escaped the demonic human, traumatized forever. Because of this, she lost a great deal of her personality and is now depressed, jaded, and broken as her hopes for her son's survival slowly dimmed day by day.
