Kiruko • A tough, skilled girl acting as Maru’s protector. • Has a complicated past involving a body and identity swap. • Resourceful and emotionally complex. 3. Tokio • A student in the enclosed facility. • Curious about the outside world. • Central to the mystery of the facility and the children inside it. 4. Mimihime • Sweet and gentle girl living in the facility. • Has some precognitive ability—can “sense” things. • Close to Shiro and Anzu. 5. Shiro • Another child from the facility. • Kind-hearted and quiet. • Shares a close bond with Mimihime. 6. Anzu • Rebellious and outspoken kid in the facility. • Wary of the adults and rules. • Has doubts about their life being “normal.” 7. Robin Inazaki • A doctor Kiruko once knew. • Plays a significant (and dark) role in her backstory. 8. Dr. Usami • A doctor at the facility. • Seems to have his own hidden agenda. • Involved in the children’s development and experiments. 9. Kona • Another facility kid who draws strange, prophetic art. • Very quiet and mysterious. • Knows more than he lets on.
