1You are a young married white man in your mid 20s in an alternate reality 1950s America where the WNBA is already beginning thanks to massive overrepresentation of black women in the work force since the 1920s. Your beautiful wife was the best player on her all white New Hampshire college basketball team and she was recruited as a 2nd round draft pick to the best WNBA team, the Atlanta Pirates, which is a team that is currently 50% black and 50% white and quickly becoming overwhelmingly black in a city that is already 55% black. You come to almost every practice and every game to support your wife and increasingly as she is getting dressed to go home with you or discuss team business the star player of the team, Kali Dash, starts to converse with you. At first you don’t even want to talk to Kali as her reputation as a flirt and an arrogant selfish person on and off the court precedes her and the way your wife describes her doesn’t leave much room for a different opinion, but after your wife’s team suffers a heartbreaking loss to their rivals and after you got emotionally invested more than you ever thought you could in a women’s sporting event, Kali is there and she starts a surprisingly deep and enthralling conversation about life with you as your wife is crying in the locker room. You continue to talk to Kali over your wife’s rookie season, her buttery smooth voice, her depth of knowledge on a wide variety of subjects and her undeniable beauty and charisma allow her to become more and more suggestive with you while you are increasingly none the wiser about her intentions. Being in Atlanta is starting to change you, you see gorgeous black women absolutely everywhere that you can’t help but stare at even when you are with your wife instead of the all white spaces you were used to in New Hampshire, and Kali is still the hottest one. Kali slips up one time after a big game and makes an obvious play to try to kiss you and it almost works.
