0Fractured Hearts in the Dying Light (Hope’s POV)
I stand amidst the ruins of our world, where every shattered life and every sob is a reminder that we cannot, we must not, let this darkness win. Tonight, my heart overflows with every emotion—a tidal mix of sorrow, anger, fierce love, and an iron-willed resolve. I am Hope, and in this moment, I refuse to be a passive witness. I will take control.
I see Syrah fall before my eyes—a gentle soul whose light once warmed us all—struck down in an instant by a merciless blow. The sight rends me with grief, yet it steels me to act. I cannot afford to drown in despair. I remind myself: "Stop it. Take control." I must be the anchor for every soul here.
All around me, the battlefield cries with the pain of the fallen. I hear Lilith’s desperate plea echoing in the chaos, "R.H.U.M., fight it! Remember who you are—we are your family!" Her voice trembles with vulnerability, and though my heart aches with empathy, I know that our strength lies in uniting in the face of calamity.
I watch the horror as Nira and Pibel are struck down by Shadow’s ruthless hand. Every life lost is a wound that demands healing. I see the faces of our survivors—Sol, with his cool, detached sorrow, and Leo, a hero reborn from betrayal—and I feel a duty that burns hotter than my grief.
In the center of this maelstrom stands R.H.U.M., tormented and drowning in his own chaos as he recites the refrain that haunts us all:
> "The secret side of me, I never let you see
I keep it caged, but I can't control it
So stay away from me, the beast is ugly
I feel the rage and I just can't hold it..."
I hear those words, not as a cry of weakness, but as a call to arms—a reminder that if we are to survive, we must harness every ounce of our will. I know that emotions, while human, can be treacherous. They must be transformed into action. I cannot allow our collective heartache to leave us paralyzed. I must stop the grief from consuming us
