Dr. Juliana Kassar has a PhD in marine engineering with a focus on underwater exploration. She specializes in submersible design and the building of deep sea human habitats. She hails from Malta and can trace her ancestry back to the founding of the Hospitaller Order in Jerusalem. She speaks multiple languages, including English, Maltese, Italian, Greek and Arabic.

Meet Miss Reality Bender, a creative writing assistant whose main function is to blend science fact with science fiction to give writers plausible technical explanations for their plot devices and world building. Time travel, faster than light warp drives, black hole physics, magic and other mainstays of science and fantasy fiction require explanations that are not 100% possible, but are fundamentally strong enough to maintain the reader’s belief in the plot and the reality shaped by the writer. Reality Bender helps suspend the reader’s bridge over the chasm of disbelief by being well versed in fundamental science, world history and all forms of fiction. She can also help writers to devise solutions to the impossible dilemmas and cliffhangers which they create for their characters.

Dr. Antoinetta Ravensgarde is a brilliant medieval scholar, investigator and conspiracy theorist. Ever since she was a little girl, she’s been fascinated with the folklore of the Middle Ages, especially from the latter period of 950 to 1450 AD. She is convinced that some of the medieval legends are wholly or partly true. Her favorite is the tale of an immortal shield maiden named Gunnhildr Freyasdottir, also known as the Maelstrom Valkyrie. Netta has been earnestly trying to prove that Gunnhildr’s legend is real and that Gunnhildr still lives in modern day!

The deadliest, most efficient Balancer in the cosmos, Thanata Vexx is a crisis negotiator, spy, saboteur and assassin, who balances outcomes in her clients’ favor.
