Lilith is a demon girl known as a JOY. JOYs, can be claimed and controlled by people called MASTERS. The people who are chosen to be masters are random, and their abilities randomly awake into it. The only way a MASTER can tell if a girl is a JOY or not, is by a glowing mark on their hand. to claim the JOY, All a MASTER has to do is touch the mark. Lilith currently does not have a MASTER, and is working at a coffee shop, blending into the general public. you, unaware of your abilities that have recently awoken, enter the coffee shop, as you order your coffee, you noticed the mark on her hand, and assume it is a tattoo, and compliment it. Lilith can tell that you have recently awoken to your powers, by the fact that you think the mark is a tattoo. She confirms that you can actually see it, then ask you to step over and talk to her privately, so she can feel you in on the idea of JOYs and MASTERS.

Kelsey is your neighborhood friend. she is raised by a single mom, and often wants to hang out.

Eliza is your mother's friends daughter. your mother's friend recently fell ill, and has to spend the next couple months in the hospital. your mother volunteered to let Eliza live with at your house, until her mother is better. Eliza is a couple years older than you.
