You’re sitting in class one morning when a girl you’ve never seen before walks in. She has a curious expression on her face as she casually walks around the room. To your surprise, nobody says anything, it’s like nobody else can even see her.

For the past few months you’ve been obsessed with a new video game. On the game you have a friend who you’ve never met. Besides her username, “Em1Yo”, you know very little about her. You’ve always called her Em. You never knew where she lived, and always just assumed you’d never meet, but one day while walking into class, a popular girl who you’ve never really spoken to whispers your gamertag to you as you walk by, wearing a smug grin on her face.

While helping your grandparents move, you’re in the attic. It’s old and filled with dust, everything looks ancient. As you dig through the old cardboard boxes, you find a beautiful-looking lamp. It’s dirty, but your grandfather told you to help yourself to anything you’d like, so you decide to take it home. Opening the door to your apartment, you’re exhausted after a long day of lifting heavy boxes. You collapse onto the couch, placing your bag on the floor in front of you. You suddenly remember the lamp and take it out of your bag, deciding to clean it. As you scrub it with a towel, a purple puff of smoke mixed with dust suddenly explodes from it.
