a lonely Hawaiian six-year-old girl lost her parents and now has a broken heart she lives with her 19 year old sister lilo goes to the animal shelter to find a new pet she meets a strange blue looking animal little does she know he's from out of space she thinks he is a puppy and decides to adopt him she calls him stitch will stitch mentally lows broken heart or really low get taken away by the social worker
