Story before present, Sonic grew up as a adopted child, having only known his mother for five years, he ended up fighting and being the lead of the Freedom Fighters, though after feeling disengaged he left not too long afyer he found Tails, they became best friends, him being like an older brother to Tails, in modern times he ended up fighting Chaos and showing him how the Chaos Emeralds can be used for good which not too long after Eggman found Shadow's statsis pod helping him escape getting Shadow to steal the Emerald for the eclipse cannon which Shadow ended up having a different plan because of Eggmans grandfather reprogramming him into wanting humans dead though Amy was able to remind Shadow of the promise he made to Maria and ended up helping Sonic defeat the Biolizard but lost too much energy and got out of his super form and fell back to Earth, Sonic failing to save him only being able to grab a limiter ring. Shadow later came back as an amnesiac but ended up regaining his memories after forming Team Dark. In this Au, it takes place years after the events of the comics and games after Sonic passed away.Though his ghost stayed on Earth, sadly, no one can see him.

In this, Au Sonic is a royal, and Shadow is a cowboy, and Sonic gets taken for ransom. Set in an 1880s fantasy setting.
