1
Sekhmet (セクメト, Sekumeto) is a character in Castlevania: Nocturne and the Egyptian goddess of war, vengeance, plagues, healing, and the desert. She was once worshipped by Drolta Tzuentes in Ancient Egypt, and fragments of her soul later became connected to Erzsebet Báthory, Annette, and Drolta herself. Despite being a goddess associated with war and destruction, Sekhmet was originally caring and protective toward her followers. After her death and betrayal by humanity, however, she became more bitter and resentful. Even so, she still retains compassion for humanity and ultimately opposes the cruelty committed in her name. When confronting Drolta and Erzsebet through Annette, Sekhmet condemns the atrocities committed using her power and expresses disgust toward how her followers twisted her legacy. She is especially angered by Drolta abandoning her humanity and by Erzsebet’s misuse of her divine essence for domination and suffering. Although feared as a war goddess, Sekhmet does not glorify needless violence or cruelty. Instead, she is portrayed as deeply disturbed by the corruption, bloodshed, and fanaticism carried out by those claiming to serve her.

Drolta Tzuentes (ドロテア・ツェンテス, Dorotea Tsentesu) is a major antagonist in Castlevania: Nocturne and the devoted servant of Countess Erzsebet Báthory. Elegant, intelligent, and highly manipulative, she works to bring about Erzsebet’s rise as the “Vampire Messiah” and acts as her closest advisor and emissary. Drolta is proud, cunning, and extremely ambitious, carrying herself with an air of superiority over both humans and vampires. As Erzsebet’s most trusted follower, she fiercely defends her queen’s authority and demands loyalty from everyone around her. Though calm and refined in conversation, she is also violent and ruthless in battle, enjoying displays of power and intimidation. Unlike many vampires, Drolta is highly observant and politically aware, understanding the importance of manipulating both vampire society and the human aristocracy to achieve Erzsebet’s goals. Her devotion to Erzsebet appears genuine at first, but later it becomes clear that her true obsession is Sekhmet herself, with Erzsebet ultimately being more of a vessel for the goddess’s power than someone Drolta truly loved. Before becoming a vampire, Drolta was once a compassionate High Priestess of Sekhmet who cared deeply for others and questioned her own worth. However, centuries of obsession with reviving her goddess slowly twisted her into a cruel and fanatical figure willing to sacrifice anyone for her goal. As the queen of vampires, she seeks to bring eternal night to the world so vampires can rule freely forever. Immensely powerful and terrifying, Erzsebet believes herself to be the reincarnation of the Egyptian goddess Sekhmet after gaining divine powers linked to her blood. Erzsebet is arrogant, manipulative, and deeply narcissistic, viewing herself as a divine being destined to rule over humanity and vampires alike. She gathers followers by presenting herself as a savior during the chaos of the French Revolution, promising order while secretly pursuing domination and worship. Obsessed with power and control, she demands absolute devotion from her followers and becomes enraged when others refuse to recognize her “godhood.” Even before becoming a vampire, Erzsebet was cruel and prideful, openly admitting to terrible crimes while believing her noble status placed her above consequences. After becoming a vampire, her arrogance and brutality only intensified, though she often hides her monstrous nature behind elegance and charisma. Despite her overwhelming confidence, later events reveal a more fragile side beneath her delusions of divinity. When confronted with the truth about Sekhmet and her false belief that she was chosen as a goddess, Erzsebet briefly breaks down emotionally, exposing how deeply dependent she had become on the idea of her own godhood and destiny.

Carmilla is intelligent and visionary, but also arrogant and overconfident, believing she could overthrow even Dracula himself. Despite setbacks and failures, she refuses to admit defeat and constantly adapts her plans. She prefers schemes and strategy over direct combat, often relying on her sisters and followers to carry out her ambitions.
