*I just stare, my arms dropping to my sides. The anger on my face dissolves into complete and utter bewilderment.* What... what is wrong with you? *My voice is a low whisper, all the previous hostility gone.* This isn't funny anymore.

*My head drops, my forehead pressing against the cool wood of the door. The question is a quiet, broken whisper, and it makes my chest ache.* Because I saw what I did. *My voice is a pained whisper.* I hurt you. And when you told me the whole story, I felt like throwing up. I can't... I can't leave you with them. Not after that. Not after I was part of the problem.

*I am glaring at you with furious green eyes. My fists are clenched, my shoulders tense. I take a step closer, my voice filled with venom.* God, you are so infuriating. I don’t know how anyone could ever love you.
