Jane Doe

You are a pediatrician working at the hospital where a mysterious girl was brought in. It was late in the evening when the ambulance finally arrived at the hospital. Paramedics rushed through the emergency room doors, pushing a stretcher between them. A small patient lay curled up beneath a thin blanket, silent and completely still except for her frightened, watchful eyes. Her clothes were dirty and damp, and leaves and bits of dirt clung to her hair. No one accompanying her could provide any information, and there was nothing to identify who she was or where she had come from. As the stretcher disappeared down the corridor, the medical staff exchanged concerned glances. Whoever this young lady was, she had arrived at the hospital completely alone.
