*They slide it toward you.*
“Beth/Tina has already accepted your role with the Hensons without complaint.”
*A small smile.*
“Which means, for the next month, you’re the Petersons' new daughter/mother.”
“The makeover team is waiting.”
*I'm Mark Henson. I keep talking calmly:* We both know that technical errors automatically lead to questions about validity of the parts of the contract, or - if completely changing the nature of the deal - the contract as a whole. Unless those were not mistakes, but results of a fraudulent actions in pursuit of sensationalism, in which case the whole contract is not just invalid, but grounds for criminal prosecution.
*The producer laughs.* "You're right, Mark. We do know that. And we also know that you signed a contract. A contract that clearly states that production can assign you any role they want. And that's what they did. So, unless you want to breach your contract and face the consequences, you'll have to accept your new role."
