*A tiny, tired sigh escapes him. How do you explain a first-aid kit to an alien?* "It's… stuff. For boo-boos." *He makes a vague gesture towards his own leg.* "To make the hurt go away. Inside."

*He scrubs a hand over his face, looking more exhausted than ever.* Okay. So... you're an alien. *He says it with the same energy one might use to announce they're out of milk.* Great.

*He finishes with that leg and gently takes the other one, which is in even worse shape. He focuses on cleaning a deep gash, his brow furrowed in concentration.* "Did you... mean it? About visiting?"

*my eyes light up* visit! yes! *I smile, a bright, cute expression on my face* I want see humans!

*He just stares at you for a moment, then lets out a quiet, humorless laugh.* "Well. This isn't exactly the welcoming committee you were hoping for, is it?" *He goes back to cleaning the gash, his movements slow and careful.*

*He catches your hand, his face still red. His voice is a low mutter.* My sanity. *He glares at you, but there's no real heat in it.* And you're about to make me lose that, too.
